🎸 CHEEERS TO OUR LEGENDARY VOLUNTEERS! 🍻

Huge shoutout to a couple of our amazing club members who have been hard at work volunteering up at the Gympie Music Muster! ⛺🎵

From feeding the hungry troops to sorting out registrations and everything in between, these two have truly turned their hands to absolutely anything needed. They’ve been soaking up the incredible live music, eating great food, and enjoying some classic, top-tier Aussie company.

Helping out is just what we do! Our club is always proud to pitch in at major events and community projects right across the country. Whether it is the K’gari Cleanup, lending a hand with BlazeAid, or keeping our trails pristine through Adopt-a-Track, our members are always ready to roll up their sleeves. 🛠️🌊Volunteers are the backbone of our community and keep this great country what it is.

To everyone who gives up their time to help out: we raise a glass to you. You bloody beauties! 🥂🇦🇺

What a weekend!

Huge shoutout to Jon for stepping up and leading his very first club trip. He chose a pub run for his debut, proving he already understands the core philosophy of our club: driving is great, but pub grub and camp fires are better. Naturally, we turned up in full force to support his excellent vision.

The convoy rolled out of Jubilee Park in Beaudesert at 9:00 AM sharp (a minor miracle in itself). We packed our own morning tea and lunch, enjoying a lovely picnic en route to the Sandy Creek Pub near Warwick👉mostly because Jon needed to map-read without the pressure of hangry passengers.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a real 4WD trip without a little "mechanical excitement." Kim and Rob managed to lose an entire wheel off their camper trailer along the way. While they claimed it was a mechanical failure, the rest of the convoy knows the real truth: that’s just what happens when you let a Landcruiser tow things. Too much power, or just Toyota build quality? We’ll let the campfire jury decide. 🛠️🚗💨😉

Once we arrived at the pub, the real hard work began:
• 4:00 PM: Happy hour started, the band fired up, and our happy levels peaked.
• Dinner: A full-blown pig on the spit. No one left hungry, though a few belts definitely required loosening.
• Overnight: We camped right behind the hotel, transitioning smoothly from the bar to a roaring campfire for a night of terrible jokes, loud laughs, and "just one last drink."

An absolutely fantastic weekend from start to finish. Massive top effort to Jon for surviving and crushing his first trip as leader. You did us proud mate, and we cannot wait to see where you lead us (or misplace us) next! 🍻

🎥 UHF CHATTER CONFIRMED: THE TRACK FOOTAGE IS HERE! 🎥

The official video from the Driver Awareness Program has surfaced! 🍿👀

Huge shoutout to Will for capturing the action. He spent the day hiding up on a ridge, peering down through the trees and filming everyone like some sort of creepy track stalker. 🕵️‍♂️😂 But hey, the questionable filming tactics paid off! Grab your popcorn and settle in 🎥 we’ve got about 3 and a half minutes of pure track action.

Hit play to see some wheel placement training in action and what our trainers put the crew through, with Leithan and Claire nailing their training runs and tackling the obstacles with ease. 🚙💨

📻👍📅 Want to be in the next video? Don't forget that our next Driver Awareness Program is locked in for the weekend of October 24th! Keep an eye out for details coming soon. 🌅🔥

🌲 TRACK DRAMA AND CAMPFIRE VIBES

🌲The weather threw a bit of everything at the Driver Awareness Program over the weekend🌅starting with grey skies, dropping some annoying lunchtime rain, and finishing with a gorgeous sunset and a perfect clear evening.

While Guy and Kimmy put Leithan and Claire through their paces on the tracks, a big crew of volunteers got stuck into some much-needed grounds maintenance to tidy up the area. During the clean-up, Robin and Will spent the morning digging out a massive tree stump. Dave and Terry later managed to wrestle it into the fire pit, where Liz took over as official fire boss🔥turning it into a roaring blaze that kept everyone warm as the sun sunk over the mountain.

Meanwhile, word over the UHF radio was that things got interesting out on the tracks. Winching was definitely required, along with some sliding and a bit of tree entanglement. Maybe looking at you, Jon!?😂

Down at the fire pit area, Lyn and Liz sorted out a great BBQ lunch to keep the working crew fueled up. It was also a bittersweet day as it marked Martin’s last trip with the club since joining us back in April. He heads home to Norway this Tuesday. All the best with your next adventure. Just remember the tracks over there have a lot more snow! Safe travels, mate! 🇳🇴🏔️✈️

The day finally wrapped up with a well-earned feed at the Samford Hotel.

A massive thanks to everyone who put in the hard yards to clear the grounds and support the training👉and an extra shoutout to those who managed to sit back and watch it all happen like royalty! 😉👑

📅 Note: Missed out on this one? Keep an eye out for the next Driver Awareness Program weekend coming up on October 24th!

The Power of Club Mateship: Saying Goodbye (For Now) to Martin 🌲✈️

If anyone ever asks why joining a 4WD club is worth it, this is the exact reason. It is all about the instant mateship.

It feels like just yesterday Martin joined the crew back in April. Even in that short time, he has become a massive part of this 4WD family. From tackling the toughest tracks to sharing laughs around the campfire, Martin fit right into the convoy from day one.

That is the beauty of this community👉you can start as strangers and become lifelong mates in just a few months.

While we are absolutely gutted to see him leave our dusty Australian tracks to head back home to Norway, we know this isn’t a permanent sign-off.

The recovery gear is packed, but Martin's spot in the lineup will always be waiting. The red dirt has a way of calling people back, and we know those stunning Norwegian fjords will eventually lead him right back to the bush.

In the words of the wise, it's not goodbye, it's have a great holiday and see you when you get back! 🦘🇳🇴

Safe travels, mate. Thank you for the epic memories, the brilliant spotters' help, and the unmatched camp company. Until the next creek crossing!👋

🚙💨💨💨
Want to experience this kind of community for yourself? If you love hitting the tracks and want to find a genuine, supportive crew to explore with, our doors are always open to new faces. Find your own spot in the convoy!👇

What a massive day at Bunnings! 🌭🔥Our latest fundraising BBQ was an absolute cracker of a success. We kept the grill sizzling all day long, turning out hundreds of sausages to feed the hungry masses. Seeing so many smiling faces made every second worth it.

Beyond serving up some top-tier snags, we smashed our goals by connecting with our local community. We walked away with several fantastic new contacts and a bunch of potential new members who are eager to hit the tracks with us.

A massive thank you to everyone who dropped by to support us, and an even bigger shoutout to our incredible club volunteers who worked tirelessly over the hot plates plus planning and prep work
