Liam Blaik awewome Datsun 1200 in for a quick upgrade before race day in a couple week.

Wired a Nos system to help with stalling the turbo up.

I had to change some inputs and outputs on the Haltech Elite 1500 and IC-7 dash so the nos and tranbrake is controlled directly by ecu instead of the dash.

The car will be going to Knight Family Motorsport for the final setup .

I'm playing a little with e throttle at the moment , so I thought I would try to look at my own car. I have been having trouble with the car going into limp mode as the e throttle target was faulting.

I had the setting set to some of the default settings from the help file.

I set the throttle to ' Run mode ' and tried to get the car to do it. I could repeatedly get it to fault with a quick stab to about 25-40% pedal. I thought I would play with some of the settings and found if I lowered the 'Integral Gain ' to 0.05 and got the problem to go away. I tired some setting in-between these values and the best result was 0.05.

I test drove car and problem has so far gone.

Hopefully this info will be helpful to anyone else with e throttle on the Link ECU .

A quick mid week upgrade . The car is now ready for a tune in 2 weeks. Loz Gats very neat evo 7 in for a 2nd visit.

E throttle upgrade with a Bosch 60mm throttle body and a custom spacer plate from Evolution Fabrications and Developments , Evo X pedal on a custom bracket ( unknown supplier )

While I was in there I cleaned up the expansion harness wiring for the Link ECU and set up a base e throttle map.

The car will be coming back soon for a full engine harness tidy .

A little update on the current project it the shed.

Doing an e throttle upgrade on a VR4, for a little better drive ability and cruise control.

I have removed the large 80mm throttle body and had a local guy cut the fl**ge off and weld on a new fl**ge for the Bosch throttle body.

Came up a treat. Now to step up the ecu and test. Hopefully should be running next week for some testing.

I thought I would get a basic test probe and offer them for an addition to any harness I do. I have had a couple situation where I can't get to the vehicle and there is any electrical issues, this can help diagnose.

I think this would be a great tool for anyone's toolbox.

A combined test probe and voltage meter in a secure case.

This the first 1 I have for testing . I'll start getting more if interest is shown.
They will be $60 with a car that I do and $75 if you want it posted to you.

I'll do a video showing what can be tested with it over the weekend.

A day off yesterday gave me time to put my alarm into my own car.

Viper remote start with a couple extras added.

Mirror fold with arm and disarm

Sunroof open with remote only and close when car is locked

I have a couple extra outputs that I'll wire up a later date.

Just another thing I can offer for anyone that needs a security system.

A quick upgrade for this beautiful Evo 7 . Loz Gats . It was a 1 night turn around .

It was time to update the ignition system . We removed the old Yaris coil wasted spark system and went with the sequential R35 coil setup.

For this visit we decided on using the expansion harness for the 3 and 4th coil triggers and thanks the Link ECU ignition reallocation feature, it was possible with minimal work .For extra voltage supply to the coils , I added a relay . Also a flex sensor wiring was added .

The car will be off to get tuned and will be back later in the year for harness tidy and maybe some other mods.
