PBs two rounds in a row (Latest being a 1:13.3 at QR) with Kirk Captain on the spare 1340cc engine we put in while the big block 1585cc was getting a refresh and its now time to put it back in and see if we can get in the 12s at the next QLD Sportscar Championship at QR

Thoroughly enjoying learning to tune the MoTeC Pty Ltd - Official M150 lately, its a big step-up in complexity and control from the haltech i tuned in my own car but two rounds of racing with good results speaks for itself and i cant wait to see what we can get out of the refreshed engine

Been a while between updates on the S14 but put some big hours in over the christmas holidays to get it all wired up and running and then it was just a matter of getting all the final bits and pieces, safety gear, tuning etc done.

Anywho, finally got around to doing the first test day in it at QR a couple of weeks ago. The day couldnt have gone better, i hardly touched the car and finished every session without hassle. Managed to get a 1:02 on the clubman layout and 58 on the sprint layout, probably fair considering how green the car and I am. list of things to fix and look at before the next outing, definently a little short on stopping power but hopefully the car continues to perform and i can get a few more runs in before the end of the season

My S14 has been laying dormant for a fair while now but 2026 is shaping up to be the year this finally turns some laps in anger

Has been alot of hard work getting to this point and theres still a fair bit of work to go. Big thanks to for building a very spicy LS1 combo and all the tips and tricks to make the car reliable and capable as possible. Good plumbing and wiring is just as important

Big thanks to my family and friends whove helped me to get this far, having a young family and a bussiness whilst trying to build a descent racecar consumes a huge amount of time and patience and it has been far from easy

Things have been pretty full on lately with christmas/new gear and the usual start of season rush, havent really worked on my since November and the goal was to do a lap by the end of the last year so it's finally time to set aside some hours and get the ball rolling again and make sure we do some this year.

Plumbing is one of the last major jobs to be finished so i took a few hours this week to do the engine bay side of the dry sump oil lines, breather lines and coolant lines

Our LS1 is only a few weeks away and once we have that in the bay we wont be far off getting it all wired up and ready to fire up 😁😁 Stay tuned

Radical exhaust was getting a bit worse for wear, slip joints were all flogged out and leaking, the muffler packing had collapsed

In proper Batchelor fashion it would be a shame to spend a great deal of money on something ordinary so we made some new stainless secondaries, new stainless , a couple of vbands thrown in to bring it all together and give some modularity and finished with silver HPC to keep the heat in and the pipes shiny 😎

Back on the dyno with for a check-up post engine refresh in the new year and then straight into testing for the 2025 season, lets go
