❗️How to make a submission to the Moreton Motorsport Park Ministerial infrastructure Designation Application❗️

❓What is a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation Application❓

🔹Because the proposed Moreton Motorsport Park is considered to be ‘community supporting infrastructure’ as it is a sporting facility, the proposal is able to be considered as a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation, or MID.

🔹The MID process provides an alternative process for lodging a development application with Local Government. The process is managed by the State Government (Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning) with input from other government agencies. Ultimately, the planning minister is responsible for making MID decisions.

🔹As part of the MID process, the MMP team has undertaken comprehensive surveys, modelling and reporting in relation to potential impacts, including noise, environmental and traffic. The team has also undertaken a detailed analysis into the community and economic need for the facility and the benefits which will flow from it. This information is provided on the MID portal for review, during the public consultation process.

MICROS ON THE MURRAY – EVENT UPDATE

🎟 Total Entry Numbers
We’re getting closer to Tailem Bend and have 44 Senior Micros locked in! A cap of 50 entries is being considered depending on numbers in other classes, so if you're thinking about entering, now’s the time! Entry details in the pinned post.

Other classes are looking strong, which is awesome to see. We’re still hoping for a few more to jump in for Outlaw Karts Australia after some really promising early talks in the planning stages of this event. Fingers crossed we keep the momentum going as these winged karts are wild and we’d love to showcase them properly!

🕒 Practice Info
Friday practice is expected to kick off around lunchtime, exact times coming soon.

🎫 Crew Passes
Many have entered without crew passes.
It needs to be stressed that this is a ticketed event with strict access, so make sure to add your discounted crew passes via your entry portal when you can. These also give access to the full Supercars weekend.

Aussie’s are well known in motorsports one of them is 500cc Solo riders, along with Speedway Cars, Dirt & Bitumen Karts.

Grassroots clubs are losing land & tracks to sellouts from council’s and developers,

By losing tracks where are our next champions coming from?
Where are families that race together going to go for the fun and recreation?

We need to keep our kids off the couch and playing sports,
Motorsport has a great safety record compared to other contact sports and it’s time to stand up and sign the petition ✊🏼🏁🇦🇺

It’s the news you’ve all been waiting for!!

The Cooloola Coast Kart Club 2025 Race Dates 🙌🏻🏎️

Along with a 7 round Club Championship, we are also hosting the 2025 QLD 4SS State Trophy in October and have some events still in the planning stages, so mark your calendars - it’s going to be a big year when we return on a new track. The last corner has been widened slightly so new lap records are up for grabs. Who will be the first to hold the new track lap record for clockwise direction??
