Oh wow!! What a night! Fancy final night dinner & drinks. A few grant presentations & a huge congratulations to all of the award recipients & highest fundraisers. Lots of stories, jokes, fun & dancing.

We all should be proud of such a wonderful achievement. We raised $1 813 781 for Queensland kids living with a disability, sick or disadvantaged. 🏆 Well done everyone.

To all our sponsors old & new, family & friends that help us year after year we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Well we made it to the finish line 2026 Bash. A lot of fun & frivolity at the finish line. A very big congratulations to all Bashers & organisers for yet another great Bash. Give it a week until the Bash Blues kick in.

Bring on 2027 Bash. Roma to Sunshine Coast via Airlie Beach. We will all be back into fundraising, car maintenance, costumes, toys & gifts for schools & kids.

Day 10
Biloela to Gladstone

Last breakfast & Bash Choir before hitting the road. A few shots of the convoy, dust & creek crossings. Handed out some more lollies to kids on the side of road & at Mt Larkin school. A bit more shenanigans at the final holding point & photos, before proceeding to the finish line in convoy.

Had a flat tyre about 20 kms from the finish. Had heaps of help changing it. A huge thank you!!

Off to our accomodation to get all cleaned up for dinner tonight & final presentations.

Day 9
Carnarvon Gorge to Biloela via Rollston

Mother Nature put on a show for us with the bat colony returning & Kookaburras sitting around laughing at us all. Some inflatable fun.

Left Carnarvon Gorge headed to tiny township & Arcadia school for morning tea. What a spread the community put on for us. Only 11 kids in the school however half the kids were away sick. The ones that were at school got showered with gifts & lollies. Lots were left for the others when they return.

Some more dusty, rugged roads onto Rollston school for lunch & a grant presentation. A fun stop of cricket & Moes Bar in the afternoon.

Stayed at Heritage Park at Biloela for the night. Dinner at Settlers Hotel with another grant presentation & speeches from the recipients.

Day 8

Capella to Carnarvon Gorge via Springsure

Theme- Tutu Tuesday

So many dressed up for the theme day!! Lots of fun. Then on the road to Springsure for lunch. We met a little boy & his dad on the side of the road so stopped to hand out some goodies. Went thru Rubyvale & Sapphire. Some crazy art in the towns.

Then stopped at a lookout. Beautiful views & OJ decided to let out his inner child & slide down the gravel pile. Cam climbed the high peak, while Andrew just took in the scenery.

Springsure for lunch on the lawn supplied by the P&C. The kids were entertained by Aussie Rock’s array of songs. Whilst most cars handed out all sorts of goodies.

Onto Carnarvon Gorge for the night!! A few photos of the grounds & parts of gorge in caravan park. Night time entertainment, played great music for us. Finished the night with sound of rain on roof of awning above swag. Hopefully not to much to make the roads slippery & boggy but settle the dust would be good. They need the rain out here!

Night 7 Capella

Theme - country & western, cowboys/girls everything country.

Another spectacular sunset behind our car.

Some locals that had received grants attended.

Had a couple of ladies shave their heads & donated hair for Variety donations.
Some silly costumes & fun times.

Day 7
Barcaldine to Capella via Mistake Creek School

Bash Choir again this morning, singing & dancing to help wear off some of the calories.A few friendly reminders from our Bash Mums before heading off! Some rough dirt roads & crazy metal art before getting into the school.

Supply drop off & show bags for the kids. An enrolment of 5 & 2 pre-kinder. If enrolments drop below 3 the school has to close. The kids loved all the animals on our car. They supplied us a fantastic lunch. Great achievement for over 300 people.

Stopped in Clermont to see silo art being painted & previously finished murals. Some fun at the pub. Then into Capella for the night.

Lay day Barcaldine

Not much to report!! Clean car, do washing, repack kids toys & lollies. Celebrate Toni’s birthday. Recharge the body. A few pictures of around town& how quiet & deserted the streets are after 9pm.
