Leaky welsh plug in the cylinder head allowed coolant to pool up around the coils causing engine to run rough. Fixed coolant leak and fitted new coils & spark plugs, fuel injectors removed and serviced while the intake manifold was off. Now this Jaguar purrs (and growls) like it was when new.

Customer had dropped their car in to get an engine noise checked out. Looking under the bonnet I found the timing belt rubbing on the cover.
I took the timing belt covers off and found the the previous workshop/dealership had cross threaded the timing belt idler pulley bolt and had snapped it off. They then proceeded to put it back together without the idler pulley which eventually made the belt to rub through the cover and cause the noise.
To add to that the timing was out a tooth causing poor performance.
I had to drill and tap the thread to fit the idler pulley and reassemble with correct timing, this little Audi TT is now reliable and performs just like it should.
