The Wolvorine Soarer!!
This one was in the shop for quite a while getting a pretty epic upgrade! Unfortunately the previous install was not up to Wicks standards, so almost 100 hours of audio and deadening removal, repairs to unabtainium trims and removing all of the vintage navigation equipment for the early 90's!
From here it was starting some massive fiberglass plugs for 6 12" subs to replace the back seat area, which was a small feat in itself. Possibly the largest plugs I have made to date! This was going to follow through to a full length center console capped with a matching shelf to follow the lines of the console. Then up front, a Microsoft Surface tablet was going in to run usb-c direct perfect stream to the Helix V Eight Ultimate!
Speaking of the Helix V Eight Ultimate, output of this epic DSP/ AMP combo ran to some mega custom, birch ply, sealed door pods with a pair of Helix Ci5 S200 8" midbass, Helix Ci7 5 1/4 midranges, and Helix Ci5 Tweeters! The window switches and door modules were also rewired and relocated to gain all of the space poosible for the pods, and of course a very solid helping of STP Black gold to try and keep all of that energy at bay. What an absolutely EPIC sounding set of doors! The impact out of these doors was absolutely insane, and the fact that they played well under the 50hz mark with authority, meant getting the subs to blend in was going to be virtually effortless π
The goal for the car was to be finished for Summernats. Unfortunately, being a one man band while continuing to service my other clients, it was not fully completed by the time it had to leave. It did make it there, and it did have audio, but I unfortunately did not get it fully completed in time.
All of the hardest ground work is now complete, and the system is now up and running! The customer has now decided that he would prefer to finish the build at home himself, so I wish him all the best and good luck for the rest of the build π
