Yes, it's another post... I've been working on many things over the past 6 months, and they're starting to come together. One of many things I've been asked by customers is if I know a good trimmer to redo my steering wheel? The trimmers I've asked aren't really wanting to do them, as they're very time-consuming. So, after doing a decent amount of research and talking to manufacturers and reconditioners, I've come to an arrangement with one that can offer what most customers want, plus an option that not everyone wants, but if I leave it out, there will be someone who asks if it can be an option. :) I'm posting a range of options to put it out there, to see what you all like. What I'm aiming to offer is a choice of styles from round to flat bottom, leather, Alcantar a, and carbon with a choice of colors you can see in the photos. Yes, you can even have a display built into them too. :) These will be to fit Clio 2, 3, 4, Megane 2, 3, 4 at this time, but any steering wheel can be reconditioned or modified if they want their own done. Ok, so after 2 massive gearbox disasters in the past month, I feel I need to write something about them. As we know, the poor Clio 2's are getting old and need some TLC from time to time, which can become financially painful if ignored, ultimately putting the nail in the coffin for the poor Clio too. The other problem I'm finding is that people buy cars with issues, without a prepurchase inspection, and then get them serviced by a general mechanic who hasn't picked up the noises. They keep driving until it stops, which in this case, the bearings exploded and seized the gearbox solid. This could have been just a set of bearings, but now it requires repairing the casing and replacing all the damaged gears and selector shafts, resulting in a pretty painful bill. The other car's owner knew it was getting noisy but thought it would be ok until the bearings let go, threw the bearing out the casing, and destroyed the pinion shaft and gears. These gearboxes are dying not because they're crap, but mainly from the hardness coming off the bearings, which gives a pretty good telltale rumbling sound like a wheel bearing when worn. If you're keeping the car for a decent while or turning it into a track car, it's advisable to put an L*D diff in it while apart, as the original planetary gears can crack under heavy load or wheel spinning and throw them out the side of the box. We can always crack test them while apart if that's outside your budget. I've added photos to hopefully let you absorb what can happen when things are ignored.

Today, we tuned another Megane 250 after fitting a decat pipe and hi-flow downpipe. To get the best out of each tune, we ensure the air filter is clean and a decent flowing filter. We found a near-new K&N filter fitted, so we did the tune. Recently, I saw a video posted by a tuner claiming K&N filters are better than Green Filter Europe filters (formerly Green Cotton filters). I was skeptical of this, given the poor manufacturing quality of K&N, where the gasket rubber leeches into the filter material, thereby reducing the surface area. So, while the car was still on the dyno, we tested the performance of a Green Filter under the same conditions, a few minutes apart. Theoretically, if there was any heat saturation, it would have given the Green Filter less or no increase. We're happy to confirm that is a better-made product and a better-performing product. Cheapest HP you can buy :) And still made in France!

I’ve been playing with the idea of getting some covers made for customers car while in the shop, and I got my first sample today, they fit so well, I’m now thinking of selling them on the online shop.. let me know what you think :) the price will be 295.00 there will be the choice of 4 colours red white blue black. but can offer customised colours if the coulour is avalible. Also the logo can be customised this will be an extra 50 dollars.

hey everyone
Here is a new item ive been tinkering with for many years.
I was looking to fit a GPS heads up display in my clio 3, and clio 2 but found all the after market systems just looked awful. I wanted the dash to look as original as possible and not block visibility of the widescreen. I explored genuine units but found the fitting to be more difficult than it should be, like needing a whole new wiring loom.
So I kept working on it. I bought a few after market systems and learned very quickly, that the cheap ones could be very glitchy, and sometimes just did their own thing with apps not working consistently as expected. Then I discovered a company making after market units for Megane 2 and 3 which looked really nice and with a screen size suitable for my clio 2 and 3. So I’ve been testing one of these units for a few months now and have found it to be reliable and excellent quality. It has CarPlay, GPS, heads up display, digital radio, connection to your phone, the sound quality is a lot better than the stock head unit, even through the stock speakers.
After testing the unit for several months now, I'm happy to sell these systems to customers seeking a new modern head unit with the latest features for their Renault. There’s a variety of units available so you can find one to suit most of Renault in the range.
Will be making a post when the clio 2 and 3 ones are ready.

This is one for all the Clio 2 owners that realise their heater is stuck on hot or cold.

If you have found the mixer flap has broken and been told you have to replace the heater box, well here is a fix that you can do without replacing the heater box and save big dollars. Hopefully we can keep a few more Clios on the road!

Step 1: Remove the mixer motors and then the plate they bolt to (see pic 1)

Step 2: With a die grinder or something similar, grind down the webbing to be flush see pic 2

Step 3: Climb under the dash and with a die grinder, cut out a part of the webbing making an access window.

Step 4: Fit a small hose clamp over the broken keyway. Then using the window you have just made, tighten up the clamp till the keyway regains its original shape. Test fit the motor to make sure it’s a snug fit and you can still slide it in.

Step 5: Make sure you can swing the flap to both ends of its movement. Also check you can get a tool in there to tighten up the clamp once its back together.

Step 6: Refit the mounting plate and mixer motors. You will probably need to get the heater motor to turn a fair way to get it to now match the angles of the mixer motor. This can also be done by removing the motor off the gearbox and turning it to the right position.

Step7: Once you have it all back together and have the hose clamp pointing towards the window, tighten up the hose clamp. This will then make sure it holds securely and not damages it again. Congratulations! You’re done! :)

Hey everyone
so as i cant sit still and actually relax over xmas, i thought id try and see if i could recondition megane 3 door locks, well after breaking a few, i have now worked out how to get them apart! so now instead of selling a kidney, when they stop working, we can now recondition them in house, saving you around 300 :)
