Had this beautiful old 1926 Austin in today. Yep 99 years old. Just wow! The owner pulled up in her to pick his wife up after her Honda broke down uptown from a starter motor. As he drove in the beautiful old Austin was spluttering. The boss soon noticed when the top was of the carby (just 1 screw to remove ) that the float wasn’t floating! Yep it had a little split in it and was flooding the engine. We took the brass float out and took it out to the Master him self Stumpy Odger who quickly soldered up to splits and we reassembled and it purred like a kitten( really sounded more like a tractor) 😊. Beautiful old car and it was our privilege to have her breakdown in our driveway. Hope to see her next year when she turns 100 birthday 🎁!!!
