We Don’t Just Fix Cars… Trailers Get the Rubix Treatment Too! 🧩

Trailer Repairs 🔧

A trailer repair we recently completed at Rubix Automotive.

Both L/H and R/H hub and drum assemblies were removed and replaced, along with the wheel bearings and backing plates.

The bearings were cleaned, inspected, repacked with fresh grease and correctly adjusted during reassembly. The brake components were reconnected and the trailer braking system adjusted and checked for correct operation.

The hubs, drums and relevant trailer components were also greased, followed by a final inspection and operational check.

Another trailer back on the road and ready for its next getaway! 🔧

🚗 Just have a look at how little oil came out of this Mitsubishi Triton's front differential! 😳

We attended this customer's home after they noticed a very noisy front differential.

Once we drained the oil, it was obvious why—it had very little oil left inside. Unfortunately, running a differential with low or degraded oil can cause excessive wear and internal damage, which meant this Triton needed a replacement front differential.

To get it back on the road, we:
✅ Replaced the front differential
✅ Replaced both front drive shafts
✅ Filled the new differential with fresh oil

💡 Regular servicing and differential oil changes are one of the best ways to protect your front diff. Fresh oil keeps the internal gears and bearings properly lubricated, reducing wear and helping prevent costly repairs down the track.

If you're hearing whining, grinding, or other unusual noises from your 4WD, it's best to get it checked before the damage gets worse.
