Just a little stone chip that most just fill and prime over but they hide the nastiness under the surface. These minor chips have opened up the paints surface allowing moisture to pe*****te the steel and causing rust. A thorough paint strip and sand with 80g is the only way to remove and not have these imperfections show up again 6months later in your fresh paint job.
I like to epoxy prime sealing the bare metal with 30mins of stripping as the bare metal is open to the air therefore rusting as you look at it.

VR SS Commodore is next in the shed. A closed door respray with a few minor dents and imperfections to address.
With the help of PDR (paintless dent repair) I will fix 95% of the dents and panel blemishes without the need for filler. I’ll wok through the process of a quick turnaround job on this one to give an idea of what’s involved.

Been a while between drinks but I’m back doing a few resto/paint jobs again in-between hail repair.

VK Berlina wagon was a full bare metal respray with minor rust work.
Epoxy 2pak prime
Filler work with 3m platinum filler
Polyester primed and blocked
Debeer colour and clear products.

A good honest car with a few tweaks and colour sand is better than factory intended.

After a minor mishap a refresh was on the cards for the Ksev.
Motor out meant a few changes while we’re at it.
Can’t wait to get her on the dumo and see if the new bling has any performance gains😉

Arguably the most important panel on a HQ coupe.
Many forget it and just block the entire quarter. This will be challenging and this sharpness will probably lean more towards the showcar crisper style of body lines but we have to enhance this to get the full effect.
Yes I know I still have to repair the quarter to roof join as this factory effort is terrible but it’s too hot to weld at the minute😉
