Had the gem out at lakeside yesterday for round 4 of the qld no prep series.

Managed to take out the win even with a transbrake malfunction on the final race of the day. Starting to think i finally have it sorted and really been enjoying driving the thing. Will put the transbrake onto a button now for any future races but might take it out for some other events soon I think providing it doesnt throw a spanner in the works now that ive said its going well 😅

Huge thanks to true blue performance
And premoza tyres for the awesome street tyres.

Another couple cool rigs in for some tune work.

The cresida had a bug causing it to hit boost cut constantly.. was able tk solve that issue then turn it up a little to 416hp unfortunately it is out of injector and pump so was had to be dialed back slightly.

The r33 was also plagued with a few issues causing it to not run right after some re-mapping on both fuels was able to solve all of its issues and bring the car back up to where it was originally. Unfortunately the turbo is giving all its got so trying to get any more power out of it just resulted in hotter air for no gains so it was decided to leave it there.

Some cool cars through the shop last few weeks.

Vh commodore. Came to me not running was able tk eventually diagnose it to a bad distributor. Bolted it to the hub for a tune up and was able to make something work with the dual carbs being way to much for the setup. It made 260hp on 98 trimatic trans in it.

The s14 came in for a link plug and play ecu to be fitted so wasted no time getting it into the car with a couple of sensors to complement it. Put a tune into it maxing out the stock injectors imidiatly as I suspected it was going to it made 202hp on 98 with a boost kreep issue from the upgraded turbo. It will be back soon for an injector upgrade.

The vs wagon came to me fitted with a captor side mount charger I was tasked with fabbing up the intercooler piping once that was complete I moved onto putting a tune into it using the factory delco. It reeled off an impressive 293hp at 11.5psi on 98 fuel.

Couple of cars in for tune ups last week..

The gem rolled in with a sr20det fitted had recently fitted up a plazmaman intake.

Made a healthy 300hp at 15ish psi of boost. The fuel of choice was pump 98 making it a wicked and practical street car.

Power was capped there to give the factory gemini torque tube a chance at survival.

The vs came in fitted with a Max speeding 3582 and a 5 speed manual trans in the stock na bottom end.

It made a healthy 366hp at 7-8 psi of boost
The fuel of choice was e85 for it. Unfortunately it pushed through the clutch at 10ish psi so power was capped there.

Tuned on the factory delco.

Both cool cars in there own ways looking forward to seeing them around and about 😊

Had the ol ute on the new hub today for a retune after some changes in preparations for the all starts drag and drive next weekend. Any guesses on the hp and torque it reeled off the sbe 5.3 ls is definitely putting in the work..

Ill be trying to make an update video about this thing asap along with all the other footage ive collected the last few weeks from the various events.

Couple jobs in for the week..

First was a ebay falcon that had been barra swapped

Had to fit a new master to bring the brakes back
Also fitted a manual trans controler so the haltech could be ran
Strapped it down to the dyno and put a tune up in it

It made a best of 490hp and was limited there to give the stock btr a fighting chance at surviving.

The seccond was joshes hilux with its 3rz id done a tune up on it previously after I built the engine for him.. this time he asked me to fit a pair kelford cams and redo some not so good fuel pump wiring that was bothering him. After the work was carried out it went on the dyno for me to re tune it where it made a best of 562hp

Hopfully the r150 trans holds in for him long enough to enjoy it!

Successful first event for the k24 gemini!

Alot to learn dialing in the setup but I now have some data to go over and use to make it faster. Unfortunately I got taken out of competition first round but thats racing ill try and compile a video together in the next week or so about it for now ill have to give an update on the car this week as the setup has changed a bit since the last video so keep an eye on the YouTube channel for those to come...

Ran the 240 treadwear tyres the whole event and from the very first pass they were dialed and repeatable. Im very impressed with there consistency and performance for a 240 treadwear tyre and keen to get them even faster!

Vl in for some work last week.

Fitted a set of pac 1218 valve springs.
Drilled and tapped timing cover for drain back from super charger.
Bled cluch (had to swap slave as it started to leak.

Got it onto the dyno and started to do the tune on it. Unfortunately the clutch also gave up the ghost at around 450hp, so back off the dyno it came to get a new clutch setup fitted.

Back onto the dyno the following day the stock ls1 besides the valve springs made a best of 513hp at around a peak of 10psi on 98 petrol and 811nm of torque..

Will definatly be a fun thing to blast around in..

Damo brought me his vx to sort out. He ended up buying a setup from another customer of mine and a vx to put it all in. After I finnished putting the engine together.

He fitted the engine to the car after it had a fresh respray in the factory colour, then dropped it off to me to do my thing.

Fitted the powerglide and torque converter.
Fitted ethels old intake to it permanently and modified so rails he supplied to fit (they later had to be swapped out)
Fitted a wastegate to a set of my manifolds he had hpc coated
Fitted an intercooler he supplied and fabbed cooler piping to suit the intake and turbo he supplied
Fabbed and fitted a full 3.5inch exhaust system in 304 ss
Fitted a supplied trans cooler
Fitted a supplied battery box and relocation kit also Tidied up and routed the factory body wiring to suit the battery relocation
Fitted a b n m Rachel shifter for the glide
Supplied and fitted a surge tank with 2x walbro 525 pumps and 8an feed line.
Fitted 2 x supplied catch cans in the front bumper area for ease of servicing and to save what little room was left in the engine bay.
Supplied and fitted all turbo water and oil lines.
Supplied and wired up ecu master black ecu and supplied ign1a coils and brackets

The car tuned up and was really nice and responsive the fitted pulsar 3584 gen3 1050 turbo had little lag and responded will to the cam kit installed, sadly the converter was also way to loose for the spec and it reeled off a best of 543hp @ 30-31psi according to the onboard map sensor but made well into the 1200nm of torque and very little wheel speed for the 2 speed glide.. the setup still has alot more potential and im keen to see how it goes with a converter change to really put that torque to the ground or well turn the tyres.

Always a good day when theres a gtr on the dyno.. this particular one in for a break in and tune up on petrol.

Built 2.6ltr
6speed sequential trans (running in rwd obviously for this tune)
Garret g35
Custom exhaust manifold
Trust intercooler with custom piping
Halted plung in ecu
Trigger kit
Prp coils

Made a best of 445hp where we decided to call it for 98 after making 422hp at 15psi.

Its definitely going to be a spicy unit on e85 and it sounds fantastic at 8500rpm especially with the sequential makes it feel very race car!
