Bendigo Harness

20/10/2026

While this special meeting has been transferred to Melton Entertainment Park due to ongoing construction delays at Bendigo, its significance remains unchanged.

The evening proudly honours Victorian harness racing legends Graeme and Gavin Lang, featuring the Aldebaran Park Graeme Lang Memorial for two-year-old trotting fillies, the Aldebaran Park Gavin Lang Memorial for two-year-old trotting colts and geldings and the Scotch Notch for three -year-old trotting colts & geldings.

We look forward to joining the Lang family, participants and racing fans at Melton to celebrate the remarkable contributions and enduring legacy of two true icons of our sport.

We thank Melton Entertainment Park and their staff for hosting this meeting for us 💙

Congratulations to Bendigo’s very own Rebecca Morrissey and everyone involved with Ijustcantseeit Group 1 victory last night! 🥇👏 🏆🐎

What a night for Rebecca Morrissey, who has etched her name into the history books by training Ijustcantseeit to victory in the Group 1 Mimosa Homes Victoria Trotters Oaks at Melton!

To land your first Group 1 winner as a trainer is an incredible achievement and a testament to the hard work, dedication and passion that goes into getting a horse to the top level.

Rebecca is a valued member of our team here in Bendigo, so you can imagine the office will be absolutely jumping on Monday morning! 😂

We couldn’t be prouder of Rebecca and what she has achieved.

Enjoy every moment, Rebecca — you’ve earned it!

Congratulations to our July Garrards Horse & Hound Trainer of the Month, Alex Ashwood!

July was an incredibly busy and successful month for Alex, campaigning horses across four states including Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania. Managing the logistics alone was a remarkable achievement, but Alex and his team also enjoyed plenty of success on the track along the way.

In recognition of these outstanding efforts, Alex has been awarded the July Garrards Horse & Hound Trainer of the Month.

Travelling extensively, coordinating horses across multiple jurisdictions, and maintaining a high-performance stable is no small feat. The dedication, organisation and teamwork required were exceptional, making this a well-deserved award.

Congratulations, Alex, on a fantastic month. We know it was a massive team effort, and everyone involved should be proud of what was achieved. Well done! 👏
