From a very young age founder of DJM Race Engineering, Dylan McLellan has had a passion for the sights and sounds of Motorsport. From a young age Dylan raced go karts in Junior National Heavy, Clubman Heavy and Clubman Super Heavy. While racing, Dylan did work on his own go kart as well as his brother and father's go karts in preparation for each meeting. After some good results Dylan decided whil
e racing was fun he would try his hand on the other side of the pit wall as a race mechanic. After a few years of preparing go karts with great success it was time to take the next step, Dylan became involved with a formula ford team in Braeside in victoria. For several years Dylan worked as a race mechanic and training data engineer on formula fords at Evans Motorsport Group on race weekends and at the workshop on school holidays. At school Dylan enjoyed all hands on subjects such as Automotive, maths and engineering. Once Dylan completed his VCE he attended Motorsport Training Australia at Wodonga TAFE. While at TAFE he gained experience in automotive, engineering, data acquisition, fabrication, welding, suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, auto electrics, engine building and much more. While studying fulltime Dylan continued to work with Formula Fords, Aussie Racing Cars, Go Karts, Utes, Sports Sedans, Improved Production Cars and much more to continue to gain experience. After successfully completing his studies and Motorsport Training Australia, Dylan gained fulltime employment at Pedders Suspension Bendigo where he worked as a suspension technician. During this time he gained valuable experience about suspension, steering and braking systems in vehicles. While working at Pedders Suspension, Dylan continued his studies by completing units in shock absorbers, springs, air bags and vehicle dynamics just to name a few. Dylan's employer at Pedders Suspension also race in the Australian Manufacturers Championship so Dylan continued to stay in touch with race car preparation by helping out with the Class D Toyota 86 and Class E Proton. While working at Pedders Suspension Dylan continued to work with Formula Ford and and Aussie Racing Car teams. Dylan is currently employed at DPE Kart Technology where he builds all Arrow, Monaco and Deadly karts as well as all of the sub assembly and aids in the preparation of the race team karts and all associated jobs for the race team,
