We are on the road and ready aa can be for racing today down at our home track Daylesford Speedway. With our exhaust leak fixed and roof painted cant thank our family enough for help and hard work . We hope to see y'all down the basin today and hope to keep everyone posted throughout the day if time permits - Darcy

Unfortunately we are unable to race today we haven't been able to Finnish the car it developed a terrible exhaust leak during the week that we haven't been able to fix in time.

This along with still waiting on new door skins so we could paint the car and both Darcy and Callum not having any sleep it wouldn't have been safe anyway.


Our next meeting at Daylesford will be the 9th of November

Hey guys and girls we are well and truly happy with the outcome of our first season back in 19 years with Darcy left speechless.
We really really truly appreciate all the help and support from everyone. This will be a long post I'm not sure if I'll get to mention everyone individually so if I forget I'm sorry but I needed to get this up here. shout out to David Barrie for selling us a bargain street stock without him selling it to us i don't think we would have been out there this season. This car has been very reliable and gone from strength to strength , we even ran out of fuel a few times thanks to blair and potty for the splash of fuel to get us through and Anthony for the lend of an extra jerry can when we really couldn't work out our fuel consumption at Nagambie. early in the season those with a good eye would have seen our roof plate come off a few times 🤣. Callum only spun out once in his first race then not until our last meeting at Nagambie he had a few spin outs. Darcy had a small amount of stuff ups only one coming together with his new mate Anthony on the back straight was a little bit embarrassing but was worse when we had put it in the dirt tyre wall in up the bush end of the track in a final after a long day with lots of yellows resulting in Bending the k-frame thankfully Peter Redding was there and insisted he'd help get us back on track in time to make the next meeting at Nagambie which he did after making a few night trips from Maryborough to Bendigo thanks Pete.

Darcy made some passes this season witch was good and Callum proved to be listening well and made a great start to his racing career in juniors.
It's amazing all the support Red Hot Racing has had and its awesome to be back and making an impact to such a special club, the committee and fellow members have done really well over the years and deserve a pat on the back and i mean everyone involved i can't remember everyone's names yet but the ladies in the canteen , Paul with the megaphone in the pits without his help there would have been a few DNS , the flaggys, the guy in my ear on the one way Aaron Meakins i think, Scooba Steve the president and Ryan Daly vice president, Dave Patton for coming over these last few years to see what we needed to come racing and the track prep guys you name it thanks guys, the track is in amazing condition all season with the last meeting proving that it was the best racing surface we had raced on ever.

Callum came 9th overall and Darcy came 2nd a huge surprise there

Lachie and Tarrah definitely had a big impact on and off the track with the Devil heading round to Bendigo Brake and Clutch specialists a few times to get maintenance and repairs done in time for racing. We're very thankful to have both at Daylesford speedway.
I also never thought I'd share the track with Morris Ahearn but it was an absolute pleasure bully and myself look forward to doing it again and hope we can learn a few things here and there.

Callum has bully riding passenger again they have just gridded up for the first heat of juniors .
Were hoping we've got the set up a bit better now as adjusted the tyre pressures as Darcy was having trouble getting it to steer

Day 2 of NAGAMBIE SPEEDWAY First heat done with the a mods she's a bit wet out there for Darcy just tried putting it around couldn't get it to turn so we have borrowed a grooved tyre for the front right off bully so hopefully Callum has a bit more luck with it

Hey everyone wow where we start it's been many years since Red Hot Racing has last raced but we're wrapped to be back with a new car a commodore and new sponsors William Lyttle Pizza on the bonnet.

Everything has just worked out the last month we decided we would give it all and try make a mid season return to Daylesford Speedway last Sunday the 9th of Feb, we had a month we managed to get the car daylighted in time, thanks to David and Casey for coming out and having a look and Pickles from Dirty Side Down Racing for the lend of a few things to get us passed until some overnight parts from Tassies Devil Raceparts came in.

We really honestly wouldn't have had any numbers on the car if it wasn't for Mint Signs last minute giving us awesome help and support getting the stickers for the car look just right for our mid season return, definitely looking forward to our fresh paint and panel in the off season.

We were all a little tired from a few late nights before on the car when it wasn't too hot so we arrived at the track a later then we would have liked so Darcy and Callum were very busy trying to get ready as quickly as possible, we missed the parade lap then we tried getting Callum a practice lap to learn how to drive manual as he had only driven auto in the backyard, we weren't geared up right for that then we missed the grid for Callum's first heat.

Streetys/ A Modified heat 1b:
We had nominated rear of field for many reasons one being it was Darcy's first race back another we didn't want to get in the way of faster cars it seemed eventually we were and had a tap in the right rear keep we kept going and managed to kind of keep up with the only other battling street stock also trying to stay out of trouble.

Juniors heat 2:
After Callum had worked out the clutch in the pits he was ready to be thrown in the deep end just like his Dad Darcy started years ago. First lap we spun out coming through turn 2 restarted and Callum did an awesome first race making good progress finnishing 6th out of 7.

Streetys/ A Modified heat 2b:
Darcy was the only street stock this race as bully had a slap with the wall in heat 1b this time i just tried to make pace and continue to get a feel of the car while still not even looking at the tyre pressures, we got around alright out there only just getting lapped by the faster mods towards the end of the race.

Juniors finals:
Callum made a great start and did really well and continued for most of the race , towards the last few laps of the race one of the faster cars was making a pass coming out of turn 2 and came down low a little to early by accident and it had made one of the bars behind the bumper pull forward and crack the bar this unsettled Callum a little and he took it easy for the rest of the race but the main thing we Finnished the race.

Streetys/ A Modified finals was cancelled as there was a crash in the standard saloons race before requiring the driver to go to hospital the driver is ok and released from hospital with some lower back pain, but has been cleared of head and neck injuries. We send our regards to the driver and their family and are glade everyone involved is ok.

I'd like to thank mez for all her help and support Callum for all his hard work and big help without him i wouldn't have gone to such efforts also Liam and chloé for their help big thanks to Dad/Pop coming out and supporting was great, hope you enjoyed being on the other side of the fence,

So things haven't gone our way at the moment with a torana comback so we are selling a 2 door painted up like the white pointer to make the move to commodore
