WE'RE HIRING! CASUAL TOW TRUCK DRIVER

Benalla Towing is currently seeking a reliable, motivated and professional Casual Tow Truck Driver to join our team.

This position is primarily for after-hours towing and recovery work, with opportunities for additional weekday work.

Position Details
-After-Hours Work: Monday to Sunday, operating on a rotating on-call roster.
-Payment: Percentage-based payment per job. Earnings will vary depending on the work undertaken.
-Additional Hours: Opportunities for hourly-paid work during weekdays, depending on operational requirements.
-Location: Applicants must reside in Benalla VIC 3672.

Applicant Requirements
-Hold a current, valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicles being operated.
-Have a clean criminal history, as our operations involve working alongside Victoria Police.
-Have a clean driving history.
-Be able to work effectively under pressure and remain professional in challenging situations.
-Be punctual, dependable and capable of following instructions.
-Have good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with customers, emergency services and other personnel.
-Be willing and available to participate in a rotating after-hours roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Successful applicants will be required to provide:
-A current National Police Check.
-A current VicRoads Driver History Report.
-Any required towing industry accreditation or licensing documentation.

Previous towing or transport industry experience is highly regarded, although applicants with the right attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

THE END OF AN ERA FOR BENALLA AUTO SALVAGE

After many years of wrecking vehicles, supplying parts and helping people get their cars back on the road, the time has come to close the gates on the wrecking yard at Benalla Auto Salvage.

It’s certainly the end of an era for us.

Over the years, countless vehicles have come through the yard, thousands of parts have found a second life, and we’ve had the pleasure of meeting and helping a lot of great people along the way.

To everyone who has supported the yard, bought parts from us, recommended us to a mate or simply stopped in for a chat, thank you. Your support over the years has meant a great deal to us.

With the wrecking yard now closed, we are no longer accepting wrecking yard enquiries or individual parts requests. We will no longer be checking vehicles or removing parts upon request.

You may still see parts advertised from time to time through the Benalla Auto Industries page, Facebook Marketplace and our other sales channels. These are simply parts we already have and have decided to sell as we continue clearing things out.

If we have it available, we’ll advertise it.

While this chapter has come to an end, we’re still here, and our towing and roadside services continue as normal.

Benalla Towing & Auto Industries continues to provide:

• Accident & recovery towing
• Breakdown towing
• Vehicle transport
• Empty 20ft shipping container transport
• Specialised enclosed motorcycle towing
• General towing & transport

We can also assist with a range of roadside services, including:

• Jump-starts
• Flat tyre changes
• OBD scan-tool fault code scanning & clearing on compatible vehicles
• General roadside assistance where possible

So while you might not see the wrecking yard operating anymore, you’ll still see our trucks out on the road doing what we’ve always done, helping people when they need us.

🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE – TEMPORARY CHANGE TO OPERATING HOURS 🚨

Due to the unprecedented heatwave forecast over the coming week, and in the interest of staff health and safety, we will be adjusting our operating hours for next week only.

Benalla Towing – Holiday Operating Hours

Benalla Towing will be operating on a reduced capacity from 24 December through to 5 January.

All tow jobs will continue to be accepted, however services will be delivered with limited staff availability during this period.
The office will be closed.

Our brigade is mourning the sudden loss of our dedicated Firefighter Scotty Grant.

We will join Scotty's family to celebrate his life at NJ Todd Funerals, Benalla on Tuesday 27th May at 11.00 am.
