It was an early start on Sunday morning for Mike Kennedy as he was delivering this new Yutong C12 to our existing client Vault Minerals.

Mike left Belmont at 4am and arrived at the Deflector Gold Mine at 9:15am to do training with their drivers, a trip of 445kms each way.

After training it was time to head back home with the old Yutong D12 which had travelled 395,000kms in 7 years, so it was averaging over 1,000kms per week whilst in work.

As you can see from the before and after photos, the 7km access road to the mine is pretty rough and was wet this day but the bus did not miss a beat.

The team at Yutong Bus Centre WA delivered 4 x Yutong C12’s to our partners at in Newman yesterday.

This brings the total delivered to 18 since December 20th and is only possible because of the great team we have from the factory floor to the delivery door, we always strive to over deliver.

Toodyay District High School have taken on our Yutong Lego bus challenge and won.

Below is from their recent monthly article -

"The Year 6 class at Toodyay District High School has been hard at work on an incredible project. A LEGO bus with over 3,000 pieces! Over the past three weeks, students have collaborated, problem-solved, and persevered to bring this impressive build to life.

The LEGO bus was generously donated by Mike Kennedy, General Manager at Yutong Bus Centre WA, who supplies school buses to country contractors. His thoughtful gift provided our students with a unique opportunity to develop critical thinking and teamwork skills while having fun.

Building the bus was no small feat. Students faced complex instructions and had to work together to solve challenges along the way. Their determination and collaboration truly shone through, and the finished product is a testament to their hard work.

The Year 6 class would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mike Kennedy for his generosity. This project has been an unforgettable experience, and the students are proud of their achievement!"
