Have you ever looked at an old abandoned building and wondered what was hiding behind the door?
For 15 years William has had to drive past a building like this knowing that there was a little imported 65 Beetle hiding in plain sight on a main road in Launceston.
He had approached the owner countless times over the years but was just never able to crunch a deal, that was until yesterday.
The property was sold and settlement day had arrived, and finally a number was agreed and a tow truck organised.
Despite now looking at the next project, William is pretty stoked to have finally secured the Beetle he was never able to get.
Now the story goes, Mick the previous owner bought it back in the late 90’s from a person who lived out near Myrtle Park in NE Tassie. He drove it home with the motor knocking away. He then parked it up never to be driven again.
Hiding in the back is a newspaper from September 1997, and what looks to be a school project on frogs.
How many differences can you spot with a Euro 65 compared to an Aussie 65?
