Congratulations Matt on passing your Drive test. Taking a little longer to get those hours up means you go straight onto green P's. With a bit of practice and some fine-tuning of both that reverse parallel park and a few other bits and pieces we had you ready and comfortable to take the test. With test day here we had a lesson leading into your time to try and make sure you felt comfortable and ready. You were doing everything you needed to not only meet the test criteria but prove you're a very good driver. We picked up the tester they made you feel at ease in the office but those nerves came back as we started driving. It wasn't until after we completed your reverse parallel park that I think you actually took a breath and I certainly don't recommend holding it that long! The rest of the test you were driving comfortably amongst all the traffic following instructions given by the tester, arriving back at Vicroads in about 20 minutes.
Congratulations Matt. It's going to make the work and uni run a whole lot easier, but Mum's Golf GTi might be over the power to weight for your P plates!

Congratulations Nick! After one of your mates recommended to have a lesson with me to help calm some nerves get you more comfortable amongst traffic, we soon had a test date locked in and were headed towards getting you more comfortable in all conditions. You already had some terrific driving practice with loads of hours up there was just a few little things you were unsure about and we soon got you familiar with all this. The reverse parallel park and three point turn soon became easy and when asked for one on your test you delivered a terrific one. There were roadworks set up on your test area today and you did a great job maintaining your speed as we are all supposed to do, albeit feeling the pressure from traffic around you. We were back at Vicroads pretty quickly finishing up in around 20 minutes and at the end you wondered what all that pressure you put on yourself was about. Everything the tester asked for, you knew how to do and you delivered it safely passing on your first attempt.
Congratulations again Nick.

Congratulations Levi! After meeting you the week you got your L's back when you were 16, I think I was still helping your sister back then too. We did some basics just to give you an understanding of car control before we got back together about 8 weeks ahead of 18th birthday. We locked in a couple of lessons and a City Drive Experience just to make sure you were meeting the test standards and felt comfortable in all driving conditions. All your experience saw us feeling comfortable very quickly and soon we were completing your reverse parallel park and three point turn like it was just something else to do. You remained calm when others on the road didn't do what they were supposed to do, making yourself feel safe at all times and on your test you drove as well as any other day keeping the tester comfortable in the backseat.
Congratulations Levi and Happy Birthday for the weekend just gone.

Congratulations Matthew! I met you almost 12 months ago for a couple of lessons and then a regular monthly lesson as a check-in as we moved closer towards your test day and you turning 18. Your parents had done a terrific job getting you trained in all conditions before I met you and then continuing with me and updating me on some of the places you'd been driving with them. We knew you'd be a little nervous for the test but I kept reminding you that you knew what you had to do and it was just a demonstration drive. You felt so comfortable with the reverse parallel park that you were almost disappointed when the tester asked you to do a three-point turn. The rest of your drive went by so quickly and the tester could not find any fault with it. No feedback on your score sheet at all! This to me sounds like a 100% great job and your drive today was certainly worthy of that. Congratulations on a terrific safe drive Matthew and Happy Birthday for last week.

Congratulations Kaleb! This was a tough "breakup" after seeing you since the start of the year. You thought test day would never get here because you started your hours a bit later and it took until after you turned 18 to get them finished. But mate, it's finally here and we couldn't have timed it better with a new job starting on Monday. You now have that licence to help get you to and from and let's hope your brother won't mind you borrowing his car. It certainly was a journey to get here with so many conversations in the car and so many questions asked I'm pretty convinced we actually solved most of the world's problems (or at least our own!). We had some good times learning how to be safe amongst other road users and saw you improving every time we met. On the test you were so looking forward to showing off how well you reverse parallel park but you were asked to do a three point turn and in the moment your mind went blank. The tester offered some words of encouragement and you were soon back on track delivering a terrific drive as I've seen you do so many times before. If you keep driving like this you'll have no problems on your own, (without me 🥲!)

Congratulations Anton who was so excited and left so quickly we didn't even get a photo together. I first met you two years ago just after your 16th birthday to get you comfortable with driving and then back again about 6 weeks before your 18th birthday to get you ready for the test. Your driving was pretty good but there were just a couple of things we needed to be more confident in doing, and after working on those we booked a test date. Test day came around and you were a little bit nervous but the tester made you feel comfortable in the office before we started driving and then the silence during the test was just deafening! Testing conditions should be just like an exam at school where there is no talking but soon you had completed your reverse parallel park and we'd already stopped for the end of the first stage. Coming back we had a pedestrian pop out onto an intersection from nowhere and it was very much one of those sliding doors moments where we could've stopped or we still could've safely made it through. Your decision soon had us safely back at Vicroads with the tester smiling as she issued your licence. Congratulations Anton. Your mum and dad will be so excited you can now run your siblings around freeing up some time for them!

Congratulations Chloe! Helping you get started back in November 2024 on some basics to get you calm confident and ready for the road, I was invited back to also help make sure you were test ready. A lot of change in the two years since, and your observations were on point, your lane changes are great as was your awareness of other road users. The test saw some nerves present themselves and the tester noticed this tried to make you feel at ease in the office before we ventured out the carpark and again when pulling over after the end of your first stage where they made a few comments to break the mood. For me the driving was never in question, you know how to drive. You compeleted the three point turn just like we practiced, your speed was terrific even though we drove some roads that I don't think we've been on before. You are always prepared and can drive in any situation. Congratulations on passing your drive test Chloe and Happy Birthday.
Pretty sure Mum's going to take up the offer of picking her up from the pub now that you can run her around!

Congratulations Alix! I met you 6 months ago for a couple of lessons just to make sure you're on track to get your licence and although a little more preparation was needed we didn't need too much hard work. You had plenty of time driving to and from school as you're about half an hour away so the hours were climbing steadily as we had as test day drew closer. We practiced the reverse parallel park and the three-point turn and you are hoping for what they asked today on the test; a reverse parallel park. You delivered a sensational job keeping the tester happy as we then moved onto the second stage up onto the highway. You got close to the speed limit plenty of times but you did not go over and you kept your hands at the top of the steering wheel for most of the time. You're awareness an observations every time you drive is always good and today was no exception resulting in your pass today. Congratulations Alix.

Congratulations Bella! Having had your birthday over the weekend we tested on the Monday and you were surprised how comfortable you were. Our lessons leading up to today made you feel more comfortable than you thought you would be and ready to tackle anything the tester asked of us today. The tester asked you to do a reverse parallel park behind a car parked up on a curb which was a bit tricky today, but you kept your wits about you and got the job done pretty well. The rain came today too and it was real heavy at one stage but you remained calm and in control just like I've seen you drive many times before. Back at Vicroads in a little over 20 minutes and the tester was pleased to give you the results that you passed. All that practice now we just need to make sure we can keep those two hands on the steering wheel when you're driving your car on your own.

Congratulations Maximus! After helping your sister obtain her licence a little while ago your mum reached out again to make sure that you were test ready. You knew how to drive it was just that reverse parallel park and some other points like keeping both of those hands on the steering wheel instead of dropping them in your lap every time you stop. We finessed a couple of things made you feel a lot more comfortable and prepared, ready for your test day so when the day came around the nerves weren't so bad. Well at least until the test started that is! The silence in the car for the test was a little awkward today. And your nerves started to come back. The tester advised us there was to be no talking in the car and the silence was deafening. Your judgement started to change in a few things that you confidently knew how to do every other day, but we pushed through and you continue driving. You did a really good job trying to stay focused and getting on with the job, even though those nerves were bubbling away. Getting us safely back to Vicroads in about 24 minutes. Congratulations on passing your test Maximus!
