Congratulations on passing your test Char! I first met you when you started driving doing some lessons to get you calm and ready to tackle everything that's on the road. Over time we did some check-in some lessons here and there to make sure everything felt ok and we got back together leading up to your test day. We worked on that reverse parallel park to make sure that it was your preferred choice and we also put you in so many different driving scenarios that we thought you'd seen it all. Today on the test we had one of the most courteous drivers give you so much space to change lanes but with the stress of the day we weren't sure if we should take it and we waited till after they moved past us. Perhaps it was the fact there were two testers in the back of the car today! The test itself was over pretty quick smart and you were surprised how fast the time went. Congratulations Char!

Well Done Jack! Picking up exactly where our lessons left off doing a comfortable controlled safe drive to pass your test today. You were worried about the reverse parallel park today so in our lesson prior to your test I made you do a couple of them to feel more comfortable and when the tester asked for one today you delivered what was probably your best one ever. What was all that worry about?? The rest of your test flew by pretty quickly as you drove us around the test route as instructed by the tester. It was pretty hard to fault the rest of your drive getting us back to VicRoads in under 25 minutes. The nervous were there when we started, but they certainly dissipated by the end, but you know, who plans a drive test on their birthday anyway!?!? You're in for a weekend of great fun with your mates and family. I hope having your licence makes it easier.

Congratulations on a successful test pass Maddie. Leading up to today we had a couple of lessons in preparation making sure you were comfortable with both your three-point turn and the reverse parallel park and a few other of the little technical things they look for on the test. I also think I answered about 1 million questions just to make sure that you were clear in your mind about many things, and I loved that! There were some nerves about the day but having our lesson immediately before the test certainly helped and had you feeling well prepared. You had the reverse parallel park well and truly under control and when asked for one today, you did a terrific job, then the rest of your test was smooth and comfortable as you were directed by the tester. The drive itself you were so surprised it only took you about 24 minutes. No rush taking your time making it feel as comfortable as possible.

Congratulations Gabi! We came together after mum put a call out on social media looking for a driving instructor. We had our first lesson and you learned a few tips and tricks to make driving easier, and then we set the test date and worked towards it. We had some practice in all different conditions making sure you were familiar with my car and feeling comfortable to do the test. You became so well rehearsed for the reverse parallel park that when they asked you to demonstrate one today I think it was the best one you've done. Fantastic! Continuing to drive around the test area on roads we've never been on before, you looked at ease and comfortable. We even managed to get our test done before the heavens opened and it then rained all afternoon.

Congratulations Lila! Sometime ago you thought you wouldn't need your licence when you turned 18 and you'd be okay just the way things were. But soon sfter turning 18 something changed and suddenly it ranked a bit higher on your list of things to do so you gave it a real go to get all those hours up as soon as you could and here we are about a month later. I first helped out a while ago and over the last month we've had a couple of lessons here and there to help make sure that you're meeting the test standards and driving comfortably. We even went for a longer drive over to Southland in Chadstone just to put you in some real-world scenarios. Today on the test it was real enough completing your reverse parallel park exactly as practiced and getting back to the test VicRoads in about 21 minutes. You thought the test would be harder in your brain but with all the experience you've had you made it look pretty easy, and at the end wondering what that stress was actually for. Congratulations Lila! I'm sure you're going to be looking forward to getting around in that new car of yours.

Congratulations Abi! You will have surprised a few people by now as you didn't tell anybody this was happening. I first met you after you were gifted some Vouchers way back when you started driving around Upper Beaconsfield to develop a few good habits and now here we are at the other end, seeing the results of your hard work. The weather was wet today and it certainly didn't look fantastic as we started our lesson but as test time arrived, it cleared up with no rain falling as we drove. You did a terrific job on your reverse parallel park just as we practiced before continuing up onto the highway amongst other traffic. Changing lanes requires you to do a head check to your "blind spot" but today yours weren't really as good as they had been and the tester made comment on this at the end. It did put a little bit of nerves on us as we anticipated the result, but that was the only feedback that the tester had for you. She couldn't fault your drive in any other area other than just maybe do some better head checks. Congratulations on your successful pass today.

Congratulations Lincoln! After meeting for a couple of later lessons after work to try and get you familiar with the reverse parallel park and the three-point turns, we realised that you found these pretty easy but we just had to make sure you didn't trip over that speed limit. Having gained a lot of your hours quickly driving to and from work all over Melbourne every day, sometimes it's too easy just to keep up with traffic and not check your own speed. You made sure to check it more often on the test today, delivering a great reverse parallel park, staying safe amongst all the backstreets and remained under the speed limit when we were on the highway. Even getting to the correct speed as we drove past the police flashing lights. It's going to be weird driving to work on your own, but you'll be able to leave a bit earlier and not have to wait for others.

It was finally time! Congratulations Anna. You had dipped your toe in and out of driving for quite some time and had some not so great experiences in the past, however taking the step into our first lesson you knew that this felt right. I could see that you had the skill and just needed that little bit of confidence to help guide you the rest of the way. With just a couple of lessons I suggested we book a test date to work towards we then set about covering off some real life driving including driving to and from work and some freeway runs. By the time the test day came around, you knew you could do it, but those nerves were still there. We did a lesson immediately before the test reminding you of what you're capable of, and as long we didn't trip over the speed limit or clip a curb, we should be good. The tester was lovely and made you feel comfortable as well and before you knew it you'd completed the first stage and we onto the second. Pulling back up at VicRoads the first thing you said to me was "why did I stress so much about this? It is literally just a drive!"

Congratulations Hannah on passing your drive test, surprising yourself and getting it done on the first attempt. Nerves were always gonna be a part to play for you and we knew this when we started doing lessons some time ago. You finally decided that you needed this for your independence to get to and from work making your own life a bit easier. We did some lessons to get you on track making you feel a lot more comfortable amongst traffic and preparing you for what other people may do on the road. You loved the process for the reverse parallel park that I taught you and you remembered it brilliantly, but today on your test you had to demonstrate your three point turn and you nailed that as well. Your lane changes were good and for a brief moment you tripped over the speed limit but you brought that back immediately and the tester even made mention of this at the end as to how well you did doing that. It certainly is a year of big things for you and getting your licence is up there with your overseas trip later on this year.

Congratulations on a great test pass JJ! It's not often the tester is so impressed in the car that they tell you it's a 100% job but this happened for you!. You really did deliver that good of a drive. So we got wonder what all that stress was in the lead up to this don't we, we always think this is so much more complicated when really it's just a demonstration of all the hard work and practice you've done to get to this day. For you we did a few lessons in the lead up when you first got your licence, then we revisited it again as you got closer to your 18th birthday, including doing a City Drive Experience. It was pretty clear that you were a confident and safe driver being aware of all your surroundings and never taking a risk while driving. This translated perfectly on your test today. Thank you for trusting me to help deliver these results. Congratulations JJ.
