We spent the day with our partners at Buckstop Truckware in the US, the home of the super single wheels we fit back in Australia.

The MPT bead runs a 41 inch tyre rated at 3.35 tonne per rim, which is where the huge GVM numbers come from. And there's now an LT bead option: it lowers your GVM but opens up normal LT truck tyres, a smart pick for trucks running without a canopy.

The Buckstop crew had been out wheeling these trucks all week, testing suspension, wheel and tyre combos. Nothing we've come across matches them on payload and GVM.

Another Y62 Patrol receiving the suspension upgrades it needs to carry and tow with confidence. With the rear end stripped down, upgraded coils and an Airbag Man load-support system are being installed to help maintain ride height, improve stability and keep the vehicle level when loaded. These are the upgrades that make a real difference once the touring gear, passengers or trailer are added. Properly selected, professionally installed and set up for how the vehicle will actually be used.

This Chev 2500 has received the full treatment from our team and our friends at Offroad Creative, turning it into a seriously capable and unmistakable touring rig.

With a Baja Designs 8XL Linkable Roof Kit, LP6 Pro and LP9 Pro LED light pods, a 30-inch S8 Straight LED Light Bar in the front bumper and Squadron lights positioned on either side.

Underneath, the truck is protected by a BDS Suspension heavy-duty differential skid plate and supported by Fox 2.5 Performance Elite remote reservoir shocks with DSC adjusters. Method 305 HD NV wheels in matte black are wrapped in Toyo Open Country M/T mud-terrain tyres, giving the truck the stance and traction to match its size.

A Carbon winch is integrated into the front bar for recovery duties. The build is completed with an Offroad Creative tray and canopy system and Bushwakka accessories, creating a setup that is practical, properly equipped and ready for serious travel.

There’s the polished video you see online… and then there’s everything that happens while we’re trying to film it. 😂 Leo had distractions coming from every direction, a few words that refused to cooperate and some poses he’ll probably never live down. Someone has to do the hard work around here!

This Silverado arrived with plenty of factory chrome and left looking like a completely different truck.

The transformation involved stripping the exterior components down and professionally repainting the front and rear bumpers in body colour. We then introduced gloss-black finishes through the grille, mirrors and window surrounds before adding subtle bronze details to complement the wheels.

The 6.2L badge was relocated and colour matched, the ZZ1 and rear badging received the same treatment and the bronze exhaust tips finished the theme perfectly.

The customer trusted us with complete creative freedom, allowing the team to design a finish that looks custom without becoming overdone. Clean, cohesive and a massive improvement over where it started.

This RAM is the perfect example of what we do best: taking an already impressive truck and creating something completely unique. It started as a Laramie before receiving a sports hood, custom paint, Night Edition styling and the highly sought-after Mega Cab configuration - something you can no longer purchase new here in Australia.

The truck was then fitted with the Offroad Creative catalogue treatment, including a front bar, roof rack and canopy, along with Bushwakka accessories. The front end is equipped with a pair of STEDI Type-X EVO 8.5-inch driving lights and Baja Designs Squadron lights, delivering serious visibility and completing the aggressive setup.

Underneath, a BDS Suspension lift kit and Fox Racing steering stabiliser provide the foundation, with Fuel Surge gloss black and dark tint wheels wrapped in Nitto Ridge Grappler tyres giving it the stance and off-road capability to match.

Finished with a long-range fuel tank, side steps and a full chrome delete, this RAM is practical, properly configured and built to stand apart.

This Chev 2500 has been set up with the right combination of suspension, load support, protection and lighting to make it a seriously capable all-round truck. The build includes a BDS three-inch lift, AirIQ LOGIQ airbag system, 18-inch Method Race Wheels wrapped in 35-inch Yokohama G016 tyres, an ADD front bar, a Baja Designs 40-inch curved OnX6 light bar and Baja Designs Squadron lights. Every component has been chosen to work together, giving the truck the stance, control, clearance and visibility needed for the job. No cookie-cutter builds. Just the right components, installed and configured properly.
