🚨 1HD-FTE OWNERS: LET'S TALK ABOUT ECU TUNING 🚨

There's been a lot of discussion lately about standalone ECUs, interceptor ECUs, "signal bending", and what actually delivers the best results on the legendary 1HD-FTE LandCruiser engine.

Unfortunately, much of the information being circulated online is based on outdated assumptions and a misunderstanding of how modern engine management systems actually work.

One of the most common claims is that interceptor ECUs simply "trick" the factory ECU.

The reality is that every engine management system, whether factory ECU, standalone ECU or interceptor ECU, ultimately controls the engine through electronic signals. Fuel delivery, injection timing, boost pressure, throttle response and torque management are all controlled electronically.

The real question isn't where a signal comes from.

The real question is:

βœ… How accurately can it be controlled?
βœ… How much tuning authority is available?
βœ… Does the system retain factory safety strategies?
βœ… Does it maintain OEM drivability and reliability?

Dynomotive Silverado Headers

Built for serious airflow and power production.

These Dynomotive Chevrolet Silverado headers feature 1-7/8” primary tubes stepped to 2”, feeding into a 3.5” collector. The stepped design helps maintain exhaust gas velocity while supporting increased flow at higher engine speeds.

The video demonstrates the scavenging effect, where high-velocity exhaust gases exiting the collector create a low-pressure area behind each pulse. This low-pressure zone helps draw the next exhaust pulse from the cylinder, improving cylinder evacuation, reducing residual exhaust gases, and increasing volumetric efficiency.

The result is improved engine breathing, stronger torque through the mid-range, and increased horsepower potential at higher RPM.

Hand-fabricated in-house with equal-length runners and precision TIG welding for maximum performance and durability.
