Mark brought us his 𝐚𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐝𝐚 𝟏𝟑𝟎𝟎 to help rekindle the enjoyment of owning a car that had gradually become more burden than pleasure.

With a custom transmission tunnel, missing trim panels allowing fuel odours into the cabin, and very little sound insulation allowing road and driveline noise to echo throughout the interior, there was plenty to tackle.

After a successful trial period, we’ve decided to make our Monday to Thursday work week permanent, effective immediately.

To improve accessibility, we’ve extended our opening hours across the week, providing customers with greater flexibility before, during, and after work. Our workshop will now be open from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and 8:00am to 6:30pm Thursday. Fridays will now operate strictly by appointment only.

This change allows us to spend more uninterrupted time on the tools and continue delivering the quality-over-quantity approach CDA was built on, while helping us better manage our continually growing workload throughout the week.

Our updated extended opening hours are now reflected across our website and social media platforms.

Nathan reached out to us from NSW wanting to surprise his partner with a fresh new set of seats for her VU.

The brief was simple:
Keep it black, but tie in some blue to match the exterior.

Here’s the result! 👇

🔹 Anthracite Black Leather with Blue contrast stitching
🔹 Blue single diamond inserts
🔹 Custom logo developed and embroidered into the chest plates
🔹 Frame repair and replacement

From before to after, these seats are absolutely chalk and cheese. The comfort difference alone is night and day! 👌

Hopefully the VU’s now a far nicer place to spend time behind the wheel.

Using a combination of media release material, period production documentation, and NOS suppliers, we worked to recreate an interior that remained as faithful to the era and trim level as possible.

With original “Leaf” velour and factory SureBond lamination methods now long obsolete, a decent amount of reverse engineering and material matching was required to preserve the correct OE character without resorting to modernised trimming techniques.

This type of restoration work is becoming increasingly rare, which made this project all the more rewarding to complete.

To spec it up further, we fitted up 🔥 𝟮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 🔥 to take the sting out of those chilly winter drives.
