A good bronze ball valve is my preference but there is much to be said for the Trudesign valves. They have gone through rigorous testing to get class type approval. This is assurance that they are a class apart from poly valves and miles better than PVC ball valves.

A survey this week reinforced how having too many anodes can be counter productive. In this case it was a likely contributor to the paint adhesion problems on this rudder.
Using a silver anode and meter the resting voltage of the immersed structure can be measured and the correct level of protection achieved.
