Today seen another 79 given the TBS Tuning treatment.
This one made the trip over from Canberra and I can assure you the towing of the caravan back will be a breeze.

Nothing beats a tune written on the Dyno . At TBS Tuning, each tune is custom built to the the individual vehicles needs backed by 25 years experince in writing our own files .

No tunes purchased and shoved into your ecu and off you go . TBS prides itself on giving every customer the best tune possible . This can only be obtained with the correct tools such as software and dyno where the tuner doing your vehicle can monitor and make changes necessary to give a 100% result . The Dyno being an integral part of the service showing the smallest increase or decrease from what the tuner is changing & allowing a confirmed result that has been achieved .

Some more mechanical pump fun . This one was N/A and had a turbo bolted on . The gains were not amazing as it still retains the original pump which doesn’t allow for additional fuel being added as boost comes on . This takes some knowledge and careful adjustment to find a happy medium between off boost and boost fuelling. Nil soot was achieved right through the rev range !
Another happy customer now enjoying a vehicle that drives so much better .

Yesterday seen yet another mechanical pump tune carried out . This 2003 HZJ79 had a turbo kit fitted and the customer was saying it was a little lacking in the power department.
Some time was spent initially going over the install to find some incorrect installation. Once rectified the final tune was carried out with the boost we had available.
To say this one drove day and night is an understatement!

Yesterday seen another 4JJ1 making great gains with some tuning .
This vehicle was fitted with an EcuShop CubeTouch and also had some touchups in the background of the ecu to give some sensation gains and still retain switchable tunes .
Feedback from the customer was positive after his drive home !

Another weekend another 79 on the rollers . This one was tuned to suit its daily towing duties. Another great advantage of tuning on a Dyno is that towing simulation can be done to double check the adjustments.

The 3rd vehicle on the Dyno today was this 2008 Hilux .

A few runs diagnosing a minor boost issue and then onto a tune. The laptop was hooked up and some quick tweaks made to the file. The results speak for them selves.

More Toyota mechanical pump Dyno antics this morning .
This is a freshly built 1HD-T engine with 2500km on it . We just threw it on the Dyno to check the owners tune . Once run up, I made the comment that since it’s on we may as well give it a gentle tweak. This was not necessary as there is a different turbo being fitted in the near future but we done it anyway .
Not bad gains for minimal adjustments.

Stay tuned as there is more to come from this 80 !

Yet another 1HZ on the Dyno today!

This vehicle has just had a built boost compensated pump and turbo fitted . The guys who set the pump up were pretty much on the money with the stock boost of the new turbo .
Since this has a decent turbo that will safely run up to 28psi and a huge Cross Country intercooler, it was decided to add a boost T and wind the boost up a bit higher than the factory set 12 psi .
The end result can be seen and this netted very low EGT’s even when held on the Dyno with max acceleration. A road test confirmed that there was still a bit left on the table !
Definitely a happy customer !
