Specialising in Classic & Historic Motorcycles … find out more on our PAGE INFO. Yup, we do it all from tuning and service to tyres and repairs … oh, and when we say tuning, well, if you like performance you should see what a Dyno tune can do for your bike. Whether you use it for racing, commuting, trail riding or farm work we’re going to treat it like it’s one of ours … in fact, once we’ve got i

t performing to its full potential, we might never give it back. We’re family-owned and operated. A lifetime of passion for bikes led to the crazy decision to open a workshop and we’ve never looked back. We believe in old-fashioned service. A quick fix is not good enough. We’re going to listen to you, take the time to understand the problem, get your bike doing what you want it to do and keep in touch after. We want you to feel your bike humming and then tell all your friends! We’re big on community. We live and work in the Bathurst region. We ride on weekends. We race all over Australia. We’ve worked with some of the best in the business. We are part of many great communities and believe a bit of respect. knowledge sharing and pitching in together go a long way. We always have time for a bit of bike-chat therapy … ‘cos we understand it’s not just a mode of transport but a way of life, a state of mind … and, let’s face it, sometimes you just have to talk about it :)

If you want to find out more, book your bike in, talk to us, or just keep up to date with bike news LIKE us on Facebook. We look forward to unleashing your bike’s potential.

At the racetrack, every day’s a school day.

Always learning, always trying things to better lap times.

It’s the first season for these two bikes and our first season on Supertwins and the development is continuing. The bikes have been running the standard 4.5” rear rim with Bridgestone R11’s. They are a fantastic tyre that we’ve used previously on other bikes. We wore them out and decided to use slicks. Stuck a R02 165/630-17 on the 4.5 and as expected it looked like crap (pulls round too much). That was the excuse we needed to go to 5.5” rims. We stuck the 165 on the 5.5” (it’s rated to fit 4.5 - 5.5”) rims and off we went. At first the feel was really good but in no time at all they tore up resulting in no edge grip. A few slides and a near high side later Rob put a 180/55-17 on the Gen2 and within a handful of laps drop nearly two seconds off his lap times and was grinning from ear to ear and full of confidence.

Our little team is gathering momentum. A few people have taken a bit of notice to these bikes and the things they are capable off for very little money (well, comparatively lol).

A big thanks to PCRA for hosting the round 3 in challenging times for clubs.

CBR1100 in for a service.
I noticed a bit of surface rust in the tank so I thought I’d better pull the pump out and put a filter in it.
This is what I found.
Incredibly, the bike was running perfectly with no sign of a blocked fuel system.
Another reminder to always just check things.

DO NOT PUT TYRE SHINE ON YOUR TYRES !!!

I’ve seen this so many times. Don’t do it, it’s lethally slippery. It doesn’t stay on the sidewalls. As the tyre spins, it works its way onto the tread and it’s like riding on ice !

This particular tyre was on a bike that I was asked to inspect for a friend. It’s her first bike and she will be learning to ride on it.
Riding it up to the workshop to service it and put new tyres on it, I nearly crashed it, even though I knew it was there and was riding accordingly, it still nearly caught me out. So glad it was me and not her.

Team Taylor’s went racing on the weekend on the Supertwins. Brought home the bickies.

I find lacing wheels rather therapeutic. Just sit down with a coffee and pump some good times.

An R60/5 in for an abnormally loud rattle in the top end. Customer suspected it might have an oil starvation as it only got noisey after it was rebuilt by another (supposed) mechanic.

Well he was bang on!!

Have a go at the mess! Oil needs to travel up the top two head studs to lubricate the rocker arms, only it couldn’t. I think you can see why.
