Why Moonah? 🌿
Our new cabins take their name from one of the most distinctive trees of our coastal landscape – the Moonah.
Moonahs have long been part of the landscape surrounding Barwon Heads Caravan Park, including the much-loved Moonah that welcomes visitors at the park entrance.
Hardy, character-filled and uniquely at home on the coast, the Moonah felt like the perfect name for our newest place to stay.
It’s also a name that reflects something important to us. Coastal Moonah Woodland is a threatened ecological community, and protecting and restoring this special vegetation is part of Barwon Coast’s ongoing work caring for the coast.
So when we were looking for a name for our seven new cabins, Moonah was a natural fit – connecting our newest accommodation with the landscape and place that surrounds it. 🌿🌊
