If you look up the definition of determination in the dictionary, I am convinced it should have a photo of Kogan Lock.
They say when life gives you Lemons, Kogan says let’s make lemonade, to pour blood sweat and tears into a massive pre season training and testing with both the Race Bike and Practice bike set up ready to contend for 2026 with some great results in the opening rounds of the Victorian and Australian enduro championship things couldn’t have looked better, how quickly things can change.
After coming back from an Australian Enduro Championship with a podium finish that weekend, early one morning a shed fire broke out and took down the whole family shed, absolutely everything was burnt nothing survived, bikes, boots, gear, tyres, tools, all gone literally back to square 1.
With only 10 days before the next round of the Victorian offroad championship, no way was Kog’s giving up, he set to work getting a new EC450 with minimal time, Stal at On Point sorted him with a bit of a suspension set up and it was off to the next round of the VORC claiming 3rd outright both days…..the thing I think most people loved, as it showed the true character of Kogan, was one of the only things to survive the fire was an Akro titanium muffler, it was burnt, it was charred, but like a phoenix rising from the ashes Kogan spent the day before the race in our workshop replacing the muffler packing so he could run it….here was this beautiful brand new GASGAS EC450 with a toasted burn muffler hanging off it.
Last weekend Kogan headed to Queensland for the 5th & 6th rounds of the Australian Enduro Championship, once again showing nothing was slowing him down claiming 5th outright both days and 3rd in his class.
In some exciting news Kogan was also selected to Represent Australia it the international six day enduro in Portugal 🇵🇹
At just 19, Kogan will make his ISDE debut as part of the Junior World Trophy team at the 100th anniversary of the longest-running off-road event on the FIM calendar. After winning the AusEnduro EJ class last year and making an instant impact in E2 this season, this is well deserved.
