🏁 STEP UP TRACKSIDE – GET INVOLVED IN MOTORSPORT! 🏁
Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes to make a motorsport event happen?
Whether you're a competitor, a member of MG Car Club Newcastle or any other motorsport club, a motorsport fan, or someone who's never been involved but has always wanted to be, Step Up Trackside is for you!
We're looking for people interested in becoming part of the team that keeps events running safely and smoothly at Ringwood Park Motorsport Complex. There are plenty of roles available, and no prior experience is necessary. We'll help you learn the ropes and show you what it's all about.

Park Motorsport Complex Balickera

Round 4 of the MGCCN Auto Test Series was run and won over the weekend at Ringwood Park Motorsport Complex Balickera. A stout field of 37 competitors took on the Tarmac tests, whilst 29 took on the challenge of an additional six Dirt Tests.
Reigning and three-time Australian Khanacross Champion Barry Nowell made the trip north from Victoria, refamiliarizing himself with the facility in preparation for the National Championship to be held in conjunction with Westlakes Automobile Club in October this year.
Barry demonstrated why he is the Aus #1, taking out the event. However, local competitors Glynn Elliot (WAC) and Lewis Penfold (MGCCN) both managed to win individual tests and finish within 10 seconds of the overall, after just over 8 minutes of competitive driving. Darryl Elliot (MGCCN) and Nicholas Malone (MGCCN) rounded out the Top 5 overall, with Justin Northcott the first Junior home in 6th outright!
It was great to see a strong field of 12 junior drivers take part in the event, ensuring the pipeline of talent continues to develop throughout the club and the young ones get a handle on driving in a controlled environment before they hit public roads.

The next round of the Auto Test Series is on SATURDAY July 4th, with entries opening soon. We hope to see many of you there as competitors, spectators or officials!
