We may have had to park up early, but the aeroblades.com.au wheel covers looked good while we were out there!

A simple alloy cover was custom-made to suit the lip profile of the Rota rims, which was secured to the rim with a metal ring behind the spokes.

I used Plastidip paint to coat them and we’ll eventually add decals to them.

Why do we use them? Rear tyre temps should come up more quickly, for one, and aero gains in IPRA NSW - Improved Production Racing Association NSW are very hard to come by in the ruleset.

Doesn’t hurt that they look cool as hell, either. 😂

It’s the last race week of the 2024 season for the 32! We’re heading down to Goulburn on Friday and, touch wood, preparation is all done.

Performed a couple of little tweaks inside the cabin, including making sure Max Robson fits in my Racetech seat with my harnesses.

I’m pleased to say he drops straight in, which bodes well for us racing next year in enduros together.

Thanks to MWM Racing for sorting out his helmet comms, too.

The Honda also got a thorough clean after a few off track excursions last time out at One Raceway. Ahem.

All race cars have little holes here and there, which mean dust gets in pretty easily. A good go through with a damp microfibre cloth sorted that out, along with a thorough vacuum clean.

Mechanicals are all good, our tyres are in good nick and there are fresh Winmax W5 pads to match our newly upgraded YSR brake kit.

Lastly, I broke out the good old Bowden’s Own car wash collection to give the 32 a final tub before she goes on the trailer in a couple of days.

Nothing special… a quick rinse, a simple wash with the limited-edition Red Stuff, a dry-down with a super absorbent towel sprayed with After Glow, windows all cleaned with Naked Glass and Bowden‘s awesome double-sided applicator, and a dose of Rubber Off for the tough spots.

Season 2024 is a wrap! Pleased to say that I defended my p2 overall in the Over 2.0 Litre category and grabbed the win in 2000-3000cc division.

Proud as hell to see Max Robson grab the chocolates in 0-1600cc Unders, as well as Rookie of the Year, too.

Huge appreciation for the absolutely massive effort that Justin McMahon put into the 32 in particular all year. It’s been a full on season for him but he always found time to make sure we were in the hunt.

Thank you too to our support crew, including Cam, Jasper and Milly, and special thanks to Wildfire Jewels for her love and support.

One more event this year; Max will drive the 32 at One Raceway in a non-points round ahead of a potential tilt at some enduros next year.

Thanks everyone!

As we line up for round 4 of IPRA NSW - Improved Production Racing Association NSW this weekend, here’s a blast from my racing past…

I can’t tell you where 32 came from and why I decided to use it, but I’ve used it for a LONG time. This is the Daewoo Lanos that I made my racing debut in back in 2000.

The cars weren’t fast, but they were impressively even in performance, and it was a terrific category to cut your teeth in.

We raced at Oran Park, Eastern Creek, Wakefield Park (when it had just opened), Queensland Raceway and Lakeside, and the series lasted a couple of years, before morphing into MG Fs then Lotus Elises.

And of course, JACCS wears the 32 with pride!

ROUND 3 WRAP: A wet, wild meeting at Sydney Motorsport Park for round 3 of IPRA NSW - Improved Production Racing Association NSW!

It was a quiet but productive, trouble-free weekend for Tim in Jaccs, pounding around in clear air to bag fifth in Overs and banking valuable points towards the overall.

Max, meanwhile, had to race every metre of the way on every lap, going toe-to-toe with some of the category’s longest-serving members in just his third full race meeting.

He did a brilliant job, dragging the 1.6-litre powered Osakajam home ahead of all the rotaries and a couple of V8s to finish in Unders in eighth.

The 32 still holds second overall in Overs, and the 261 hangs onto fifth overall in Unders.

Huge shout-out to our support crew, as well as ClubRacer Engineering for their help. We’re back on track in early August.

While a lot of young racers have a background in a sport like karting, Max cut his competitive teeth in the cutthroat world of BMX.

He raced from when he was six right through to his early teens. It’s a fast, furious sport with no quarter asked or given, and he’s showing the same feisty tenacity in his first full year of IPRA NSW - Improved Production Racing Association NSW door-to-door racing.

We’re back on track in just over a week at Sydney Motorsport Park, supported by ClubRacer Engineering.
