Avalon Fun Kart Club The cheapest Kart Racing in Vic! Where family fun meets friendly competition, come and check us out! Engine:
6.5hp 4 stroke Chinese Honda GX200 clones. AFKC

The AFKC is the cheapest Go Kart Racing in Victoria, where fun meets friendly competition. GO KARTS:
Frame:
Any professionally manufactured Go Kart frame (Members currently have Arrow, CRG, Wright, and Haase Karts amongst others). Most members purchase engines from EBay with or without an electric start (both legal). We simply remove the governors and fit a pulse fuel pump. Cut Price Racing also make an AFKC full engine and kit ready to bolt on. Tyres:
Any slick tyre that is used in tarmac karting (MG Yellow/ Red, Dunlop DFMs, Mojos etc)

MEMBERSHIP:
Annual membership is $150 for a Single and $200 for a Family. (No memberships required in 2022)

RACE/ FUN DAY:
$35 entry fee per race/ fun day which covers insurance and membership. Gates open at 9am and practice commences at 10am, racing starts at 11am. Race days include five, 10 lap races with points awarded from first until last, which go towards the overall championship. Fun days run on a similar schedule but with no points awarded. TRACK:
Our home track is at the Geelong Motor Sports Complex, 50 Beach Rd, Avalon (Avalon Airport exit). It’s a dirt track with multiple layouts including a speedway in clockwise and anticlockwise directions, the speedway also has two kidneys in the centre section resulting in 8 possible track layouts. Spectators welcome (free entry) on any of our Fun/ Race Days with canteen food available from 12pm. We’d love to see you whether it be for entertainment or information regarding our club/ karts.

Please note, event registration will close Friday the 23rd at 7pm, dont worry though, if you dont get your nomination in, you can do this on the day you will just run in the last positions for the first two heats.

Format & info for this Saturday! Fresh new track, cant wait!!!

Thanks to all that have pre-registered, If you forgot, thats ok theres still time, Registrations close tonight @7 and you can register on the day!

Shout out to Lara Quality Meats for supplying yet another great meat tray to raffle off.
$2 per ticket or 3 for $5

Sausage Sizzle will be available for lunch, $2.50 for a snag in bread & $2.50 per drink (while stock lasts)

Format for Saturdays race meet - Kidney Track

8:00 – Gates Open
8:30 – Sign on for drivers and Marshals
8:30 to 9:15 – Scrutineer checks karts
9:00 – Marshalls briefing
9:15 – Welcome, followed by drivers briefing/ presentation
10:00– Driving on track
Practice (Anti clockwise)
(5 min break for flag marshal change)
Heat 1 (random draw, Clockwise)
(5 min break for flag marshal change)
Heat 2 (reverse random draw, Anti clockwise)
12:00 – Lunch Break
12:30 – Heat 3 (points from heats 1 & 2 grid, Clockwise)
(5 min break for flag marshal change)
Final (points from heats 1, 2, 3, Anti Clockwise)
3:30 – Racing finishes –

The club president and family have been hard at work re-surfacing the track, all ready to go for the 19th!!

There is some exciting news coming soon get ready!!!!!

We will also be selling through the club the following items on race day - this will keep you racing for the day!
- Chains and links
- Ready to bolt on Carby's
- Fuel pumps & Fuel Line
- Chain and sprocket protectors to stop chains from slipping off.

The more you support the club the better we can make our facility, thank you for all your support in our sausage sizzles and meat raffles, buying tickets and a snag goes a long way!
