KUBOTA KX057-4 – CHARGING SYSTEM REPAIR 🔧
This Kubota KX057-4 excavator came in with a charging system issue, leaving the battery unable to maintain the correct charge.
We carried out electrical testing and diagnostics to track down the cause, completed the necessary repairs, and confirmed the charging system was operating correctly again. ⚡🔋
It’s not just cars we work on at Lloyd Automotive & Electronics. We also diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on excavators, forklifts, trucks, machinery and other equipment.
From a simple wiring fault through to more involved electrical diagnostics, we’ll work through the problem and find the cause rather than just throwing parts at it.

🔧 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan – DSG Transmission Repair
This 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan came into Lloyd Automotive & Electronics with transmission issues requiring further diagnosis.
After carrying out our diagnostic testing, we traced the problem to the mechatronics unit in the DQ381 7-speed DSG wet-clutch transmission.
🔍 Diagnosed the transmission fault
🔧 Removed the DSG mechatronics unit
🛠️ Mechatronics unit professionally repaired
🔩 Reinstalled back into the vehicle
💻 Completed the required calibration and basic settings
✅ Final testing completed and vehicle back up and running
The mechatronics unit is essentially the electronic and hydraulic control centre of the DSG transmission, controlling clutch operation and gear selection. Correct diagnosis, repair and calibration are critical to getting these transmissions operating properly again.
Another job completed from initial diagnosis through to removal, repair coordination, refitting and programming/calibration — all handled through Lloyd Automotive & Electronics.

🔧 ON-SITE LIFT REPAIR – BACK UP & RUNNING! 🔧

Another on-site job for Lloyd Automotive & Electronics.

This lift had become a complete non-starter, leaving the trades unable to use it when they needed it most.

We headed out to site, carried out the diagnostics, tracked down the fault and got it repaired and back operational so the guys could get on with the job. 💪

Jobs like this are a good example of what we do beyond normal automotive repairs. With experience in electrical diagnostics, electronics and fault finding, we’re always willing to tackle something a little different.

Some jobs test more than just your tools—they test your patience too. 😅🔧
This 2011 Holden Commodore came to us requiring a replacement ECU to be programmed.
Unfortunately, during the initial programming process we experienced an equipment failure, which corrupted the ECU. While it's frustrating, module programming isn't always straightforward, and occasionally things like this can happen—even with the best equipment and procedures.
Rather than giving up, we dug in. Out came the laptops, diagnostic gear, programming tools and everything else needed to diagnose the issue and recover the vehicle.
After plenty of troubleshooting and persistence, we successfully programmed the replacement ECU and got the Commodore back up and running. 💪
These photos show what module programming can really look like behind the scenes. It's not always a simple plug-in-and-go job—sometimes it takes experience, the right equipment, and the determination to keep going until it's fixed.
At Lloyd Automotive & Electronics, we're committed to finding a solution, even when the job throws us a curveball.
