Ever wondered how Blue Tree Project began? 💭
This blue tree, the very first one, still stands on a family farm in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia.
It started in 2014 with a bit of mischief and a tin of blue paint. Jayden and his mate Tjarda found paint in Jayden's dad's shed, grabbed some brushes and headed out to paint a tree.
The story of the blue tree stayed quiet for years - until Jayden tragically died by su***de at just 29. At his funeral, Tjarda finally shared the story. In that moment, the blue tree became something more.
It became a symbol. A conversation starter. A way to speak the unspoken.
Out of a single act - two friends, one tree, and a forgotten tin of paint - grew a global movement. Now a registered charity, Blue Tree Project uses blue trees as catalysts for change, inspiring others to help change the narrative.
