Take care on the roads in winter. Black Ice is a hazard and dangerous.

⚫️ 🧊 What is black ice?

Trickier to spot than a white dusting of snow, black ice forms when a thin layer of moisture like melted snow, frost, rain or fog freezes, creating a nearly invisible layer of ice that blends in with the road.

❄️ Winter is almost at an end, but we're not quite out of the woods. Slow down and take extra care when driving at night, dawn or dusk, particularly in the Southern Ranges, Central Tablelands and Blue Mountains where snowy and icy conditions are anticipated this weekend.
