So we need to trim down the Ride and Drive fleet and the Getz must go ! So 2007 manual 1.6 .. well used with 131 tests passed. Well maintained, always serviced and a new clutch a few years back... $4000 of make an offer...

So Will bought our training moped- he came straight from work ! It had served me well. Most moped learners have their own scoot but handy to have one if they were from out of town or theirs needed a bit of attention ! When needed I now use Albany Motor-cycle Training's Yamaha which is very nice !

Well we lasted two days without having to be the fun Police 👮‍♀️

Just a reminder that these new scooters don’t ‘beam’ you up to a universe where rules of common sense, or more importantly WA laws, don’t apply.
You’re always telling us to ‘catch some real criminals’ - we would much rather be doing that than telling you off for having scooter races down York Street after a pub lunch or playing dodgems in the shopping centres.

Some of the penalties for E-rideable Devices (Beam Scooters) listed below;

- Ride on a carriageway, bicycle path or shared path at a speed exceeding 25kmh- $100 fine.
- Ride on a footpath at a speed exceeding 10kmh- $100 fine.
- Fail to wear a protective helmet- $50 fine.
- Ride with a passenger or animal on board- $50 fine.
- Ride with insufficient lights and reflectors during hours of darkness or hazardous weather- $100 fine.
- Ride on a road or path while under the influence of alcohol or drugs - $100 fine.
- Ride on a road or path recklessly or without due care and attention- $100 fine.
- Ride on a carriageway with a dividing line or median strip- $100 fine.
- Ride on carriageway with dividing line or median strip with posted speed limits exceeding 50kmh and 70kmh- $100 fine.

If a Beam e-scooter is parked badly or causing an obstruction you can complete a form at https://www.ridebeam.com/report-a-beam and Beam will deploy a marshal to move the e-scooter or call Beams helpline on 1300 507 676.
