It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing overnight of former Mayor of Albany, Dennis Wellington. He did so much for the Albany area and was always a great supporter of the Albany Classic Around the Houses event.
RIP Dennis Wellington

Resurfaced track at the Collie Motorplex looking👌

The resurfaced track between turns five and six on the long circuit (pictured) is one of a number of improvements recently carried out.

The long list of upgrades have been made possible with the support of the Collie Futures Industry Development Fund.

The Collie Motorplex is helping to drive Collie forward as a top destination, as the WA Government continues efforts to transition Collie's economy.

Built on a decommissioned underground mine site and officially opened in 1999, the Collie Motorplex attracts motoring enthusiasts into town through events as well as training.

This opens up opportunities for the wider community, as the benefits of visitor expenditure flow through to local shops, accommodation and tourism businesses.

🏁 The venue will host the 2026 Australian Historic Road Racing Championships this month.

Did you know that the vintage Bentley in our store was once featured on the poster for 2016's Albany Classic?

The poster featured Ray and Steve's pop John Manley, often called Spanner, alongside his beloved car he purchased and imported from London back in 1979. The boys managed to snag the original painting during the opening night dinner of that year's Albany Classic during an auction as well!
