A little while back we had a new customer come in from Mount barker for us to diagnose a oil leak

He informed me a few weeks back on his way back from Perth he had to put 7 litres of oil in the vehicle suggesting it had a very major oil leak.
He manages to get it to a workshop along Albany highway and they quickly diagnose it as a leaking rocker cover gasket.
Taking there word he went ahead with the work
Unfortunately that wasn’t the case at all, the next day a puddle of oil underneath the vehicle…

It came into us we spent a hour degreasing the underside of the vehicle to properly pin point the leak.
Start the vehicle and it was very obvious where it was leaking

We only use Genuine, Ryco or terrain tamer filters for this exact reason

Just a quick heads up that Oceanside Automotive will be taking a short break! ☀️

🚗 Please ensure all vehicles are collected by 5:00pm on Thursday 23rd July, as the workshop will be closed during this time.

📞 Please note: We will not be contactable by phone or email while we’re away, and we’ll respond to all enquiries as soon as possible when we return.

Our diary is already filling up fast once we’re back, with the remainder of August booking out quickly, and we’re now also taking September bookings.

Thursday night dinners are back at the club this week, and with our Think Mental Health Round coming up on Saturday, it’s a great opportunity to catch up with your teammates, mates and fellow Tigers.

Mental health affects everyone, and sometimes a simple conversation can make all the difference. Take the time to check in on a mate, ask how they’re going and let them know you’re there if they need you. 💚

On the menu this week is a mouth-watering Sirloin Steak served with fries, prawns and creamy garlic sauce for just $20. 🍽️

Our Tiger Cubs (U10s) are also looked after, with nuggets, chips and an ice cream FREE of charge! 🍦

Far too often we get a new customer in for a service on there much loved vehicle
And one thing has always been missed...

Automatic transmission servicing 🤔

Always have been serviced on time, log books filled out but for whatever reason people not realising automatic gearbox's need servicing.

This Isuzu Dmax has always been a work horse and had not once had a gearbox service since new ( 263000kms)

Gearbox flush, pan removed, filter replaced and back on the road

We recommend automatic transmission services every 40000kms to keep the oil clean and transmission temperatures at bay.

We have been out and about as of late, doing some maintenance and repairs for some very valued customers out Green range.

We noticed a very suspicious oil leak from the front diff, on further investigation found the radius arm mount on the diff housing had snapped causing a hole in the front housing, not ideal!

New diff housing sent out overnight, strip front housing, manufacturing new brake lines, replacing all tired components such as brake calipers, discs, pads, wheel bearings with quality Terrain Tamer parts.

All done onsite minimising downtime of vehicles.

We enjoy meeting new people and the change of scenery from the workshop walls 🤣

🎉 We’ve got exciting news! 🥳

Abby has officially decided to leave the world of administration behind and pursue a new career as a mechanic 👩‍🔧 🔧

After 10+ years of spreadsheets, paperwork and office life, she’s swapping it all out for spanners and servicing and we can’t wait to have her on board within the workshop!

Hope everyone has a great start to April… and don’t fall for any fools 😉 🚙 👀
