A recent volunteering day saw our team from the CMV Truck & Bus Training Institute spend time at Foodbank Victoria's Brooklyn warehouse.

Across the session, the team packed more than 13,700 kilos of food, the equivalent of 33,498 meals for families in need.

It was a hands-on experience that gave the team a strong appreciation for the important work Foodbank does to help put meals on the table for those who may otherwise go without. 💜

We are proud to have had the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause and organisation that has been providing vital food relief for more than 90 years.

Thank you to the Foodbank team for having us and for the impact you continue to make every day.👏

The CMV Staff Foundation was proud to recently support Aspect Treetop School in Adelaide through a donation, helping fund new STEM resources for students.

During a recent visit, we had the opportunity to tour the school and see firsthand the learning environment created by the team. It was great to see how each classroom is thoughtfully set up for hands-on learning, with students engaged and supported in a way that reflects their individual needs and interests.

Aspect Treetop School is Adelaide’s only autism-specific education program for students from Reception to Year 10, supporting around 90 students with a range of support needs. The work of their team creates a learning environment that is thoughtful, supportive and tailored to each student.

As part of our employee volunteering program, Harry and Ben from our IT team recently spent a day with The Village CO. 👏

Using their volunteer day, they chose to support an organisation that provides practical help to new mothers doing it tough, including those experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or financial hardship. The Village Co delivers essential items for both mum and baby, along with programs designed to offer support, dignity and connection during early motherhood.

Through the day, Harry and Ben were able to contribute in a hands-on way and see firsthand the care that goes into supporting families at a really important time.

Thank you to The Village Co team for having us and for the meaningful work you do across our community.

National Volunteer Week took place this week, and it is a special time to reflect on the impact of volunteering and sincerely thank everyone who gives their time to support their communities.

At CMV Group, we’re grateful to support our people in getting involved through CMV Volunteering, and to recognise all who have taken the time to contribute, along with the organisations we are proud to work alongside.

This financial year, volunteering has continued to bring our teams together in support of many causes, with strong participation, generosity and community spirit across the Group.

Together, our people have:

⏰ Volunteered for 1,284 hours
🤝 Supported 21 organisations
✅ 172 employees participated

This year’s National Volunteer Week theme, ‘Your Year to Volunteer’, is a gentle reminder that every contribution counts, and an opportunity for anyone considering getting involved to take the next step and be part of something meaningful.

The CMV Group Staff Foundation were proud to recently support Orana Australia Ltd through a generous donation, helping to fund accredited Mental Health First Aid training for their team. 💚

Supporting people with disabilities includes being able to recognise and respond to mental health challenges and that is exactly what this donation is helping make possible.

So far, 16 staff members have completed the training, building their confidence to recognise, respond to and support participants experiencing mental health challenges. A further 20 team members are set to take part in upcoming sessions in April and May. 👏

After an incredible 42 years with the CMV Group, we'd like to congratulate Peter Anderson on his retirement and thank him for his outstanding contribution.

Peter began his career working in vehicle inventory control as the business distributed Toyota commercial vehicles across South Australia and Broken Hill. During the early rollout of computerised systems, Peter quickly became the go-to person for vehicle inventory and system development.

As the business evolved, Peter moved into CMI Toyota and later joined the IT team, where he helped support and develop the vehicle systems used across a number of dealerships. His role grew alongside the technology, contributing to the sophisticated systems that CMV Group relies on today.

We'd like to thank Peter for his dedication and 42 years of service. We wish you all the very best in your retirement!
