Final round didn't go our way, or the way of many. Definitely a character building weekend for most.

The Rx7 had the door shut on it into T1 ending the weekend early and the championship in 4th.

Congratulations to team Pickert for taking the win, bitter sweat after an engine failure but good to see their efforts rewarded. Team Tuff mounts getting it together to bring home second a nice reward for all their hardwork, especially Myles work in the background. Ryan after a catastrophic failure at the end of the main straight, thankfully only broken car and not driver bringing home 3rd for the season.

Another great year of racing with some really good people, look forward to doing it all again next year.

Special mention to Paul Attard, driving down from Ballina with his super cool mini to come for a run this weekend. Such an awesome car that Paul has owned off and on longer than I've been alive and a lovely bloke to boot. Hence awarding him the sponsors choice award.

End of an era.

I'm extremely grateful to have been fortunate enough to build some pretty cool hotrods over the past 20+yrs, with someone I regard as one of the kindest, hard working and genuine person you will ever meet.

Thomo has not only been an employee but a best mate of 20+yrs. We've shared so many experiences together, good times and bad. He was the sole reason my business survived whilst caring for my brother in hospital a few years back and has been nothing short of an inspiration to continue to push myself to do better and be a better person every day.

I can't thank him enough for his hard work and dedication to help get where I am at this point in time. Wishing you all the best mate, whatever the future brings. 🍻✌️

Good weekend racing at the bend for Round 1 of the Phoenix Lining Services SA Sports Sedans. A few little issue's over the weekend but nothing major until race 5, with a sticky brake pedal we retired the car before it did it for us. Unfortunate but still managed second for the weekend. Congratulations Josh on P1 and Ryan for P3 and all the 2L guy's that trekked over from interstate.

Watch Tc race fab sponsored driver Brock Thompson drive around the whole field, from last to first at last weekends Dirt kart state titles. A big congratulations to Brock, crew chief/ mechanic Jarrod for all their hard work and dedication, results speak for themselves. Brock is definitely one to watch coming up in the dirt kart ranks.

Welcome the latest member to the S.A. Sports sedan category. Still a long way to go but a solid foundation to continue on with. Believe or not this car just came in for a cage. Been a big learning curve that I can't thank Rob from RMF enough for his guidance along the way and Liam from Riverside for pointing out a few rule misinterpretations, saving future headaches. Thanks to Wade for his patience and Thomo for always putting in the hard yards! Look forward to getting it finished in the future and see it out cutting laps.

Awesome weekend of racing at The Bend. In the sports sedan category
Matt and the Rx7 just worked all weekend, even brought home some silverware, claiming P2 overall. The Faustune 'd Xtreme Rotaries power plant didn't skip a beat all weekend. Also thanks to Darryl at Tyrepower Blackwood for the fresh rubber and killer alignment. Thanks Thomo for all the prep work. Congratulations to Ryan and the team travelling all the way from WA to take P1 and sponsors choice. Also well done to Matt Longhurst for claiming P3 in his first meeting. Congratulations to Wade for claiming the win in the 2L category in his beams powered AE86. Can't forget Chris Brown in the Improved Production category, hampered with issue's this weekend but still walked away with P2 outright. Well done to all for a great weekend's racing. Next round is at Mallala Oct 9-10, make sure you come out to see some of the best grassroots motorsport around.

Come for a lap in Matt's wild Fc Rx7 around the Bend's international circuit. This was Matt's PB lap of the day a 1:58.4 in what's promising to be a very competitive car for sub 300kw. Now we've sorted all the teething issue's, we tipped close to 200L of e85 through it on Saturday and can now turn our focus to adjusting the set up of the car. Turn the volume up and enjoy the sweet sound of the that Xtreme Rotaries 13b singing through our custom 4" titanium exhaust. 🍻

Following our last post we'd like to share a more positive experience we had with GJ Drivelines. Matt and the GJ guy's actually know what they're talking about and supplied a shaft fit for purpose (pics for reference) and in mere day's, not weeks.

They manufacture shafts from chromoly, aluminium or carbon fibre, aluminium pictured which gave us a weight saving of nearly 3.5kgs.

If you're looking for a custom tailshaft to suit any requirement, from street to circuit, trucks, boats and industrial then get in touch with Matt for a top quality shaft fit for purpose.

We tested the new shaft yesterday and were happy to report no more annoying vibration and a new PB to boot.

They say motorsport is character building...

When saving weight in your race car, the tailshaft loop is not a place to skimp. Safety loop is 5mm steel flat bar. We only just picked the brand new tailshaft up Tuesday and installed it for this meeting. Thankfully Matt was not injured when it let go with no warning whatsoever, top of 6th around 250kph.

Absolute Engineering Solutions saving the day yet again. This time machining a custom pulley to suit the alternator set up in the FC we just completed. The supplied pulley was too large under driving the alternator to the point it wouldn't supply enough current at idle, also due to the amount of electrical components it's required to run. Daniel scanned, modelled and manufactured the new pulley for us all within our short time frame ready for racing this weekend!
