Here are some top beachfront camping spots on the Yorke Peninsula where you can wake up to stunning ocean views: see in comments Council's campground bookings link - Council's campground bookings are completed via the York Peninsula Council website (see comments below)
1. 📍Gleesons Landing Bush Campground - is approximately 41km from Warooka, via White Hut Road and Gleesons Road. Gleesons Road is unsealed and can be corrugated.
🛖 Amenities: few toilets are provided, but self-sufficient camping is still encouraged, bring your own water. For petrol, basic supplies or a trip to the Tavern, head to Marion Bay, the closest town – or stock up at Warooka, on your way through.
🏖️ Why Stay Here? Stunning coastal views, great for fishing, snorkelling, and surfing.
2. 📍Burners Beach Campground - located at Galway Crescent, Point Souttar, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, 5577. It's about 13 km from Point Turton, along North Coast Road, with part of the road being unsealed
🛖 Amenities: Basic (toilets, no power or water)
🏖️ Why Stay Here? Secluded and peaceful with direct beach access, close to the water. Protected by cliffs to the south.
3. 📍Swincer Rocks - Swincer Rocks Bush Campground is approximately 16km from Corny Point, via Corny Point Road, Marion Bay Road and Wurlie Road.
🛖 Amenities: (completely off-grid) A toilet is provided, but self sufficient.
🏖️ Why Stay Here? Perfect for those who love remote, rugged beachfront camping.
4. 📍Tiparra Rocks - Tiparra Rocks Campground is located approximately 4km from Balgowan. Head north from Balgowan, along Schwartz Road for approximately 1km, before turning left onto a coastal track for approximately 3km.
This campground is located on a low cliff with the view over the ocean.
🛖 Amenities: No amenities, but a beautiful spot
🏖️ Why Stay Here? Amazing rock formations and a peaceful beachfront location.
5. 📍Wauraltee Beach Campground
The campground is over a large area with level sites tucked in between vegetation and sand dunes. The dunes are a fragile environment and so visitors are asked to stay in designated areas only. A toilet is provided but self-contained camping is still recommended. Toileting in the dunes is strictly prohibited.
NOTE: The nearby Wauraltee Beach is not part of the Wauraltee Bush Campground. The beach area is Crownland and thus under different rules and jurisdiction. Please do not camp on the beach it is prohibited, research current rules.

6. 📍Point Turton Caravan Park
