What sets a conical spring apart from a cylindrical or beehive spring is harmonic stability.

A conical spring has varying diameter coils and a progressive rate which causes a self damping effect. Following on from last week’s post, the Rover V8 has now had its time on our in-house dyno—run in, tuned, and ready to go.

With an aim of 300HP it put down a solid 316HP. It might not be headline-chasing power, but in a miniature muscle car tipping the scales at around 700kg, it’s going to be nothing short of wild.
