Once upon a time there was actually some rubber in this suspension bush…
These bushes are designed to keep your suspension located where the engineers intended. Unfortunately, this one has decided its working days are over and is now letting the control arm wander around like a bloke who’s had one too many at the pub.
The result? Poor handling, uneven tyre wear, clunks over bumps and reduced braking stability. Your tyres can only grip the road if the suspension is doing its job, and that’s hard to achieve when everything underneath is doing its own thing.
If your car feels vague, knocks over bumps or just doesn’t inspire confidence, it might be worth having the suspension checked. Sometimes the problem isn’t your tyres… it’s what’s supposed to be holding them in the right place.
