CBA R35 GTR project completed.

This one features an Emtron plug-and-play ECU, custom wiring harness and sensor package, 8-button keypad with multiple map options: rolling anti lag, flame mode, valet mode, traction control overrides and more.

Fuel system control is handled by our own Mectric/GZ PDM fuel pump control kit, paired with high-flow turbochargers, a Stage 3 GR6 transmission with Dodson gearset, HKS 4” exhaust, Radium triple catch can kit, Endless brake upgrades, carbon bootlid, our GZ fire extinguisher kit and a host of other goodies.

The car was flex-fuel tuned by Decs Mectric Motorsport Electronics and put down a solid 530rwkW / 710rwhp on E85.

Our GZ ZD8 BRZ demo car has recently stepped up its visual presence with a few key aero additions- a JUN Auto carbon front splitter and Do-Luck carbon rear boot lip, both sourced directly from Japan. The car now looks as sharp as it feels on track.

We took the updated package to The Bend for a proper shakedown, where the focus wasn’t just on lap times, but on building rhythm, maximising seat time, and really dialling in our driving lines. It was also the perfect opportunity to push through a set of well-worn tyres and feel how the car behaves right at the edge of grip.

Mechanically, the setup stayed consistent- upgraded brakes, suspension, intake, exhaust, clutch and supporting mods all doing their job, while the stock ECU remains untouched.

By retaining the factory ECU (for now), we’re keeping this build grounded and relatable- showing what a modern platform can achieve with bolt-ons and tuning fundamentals, whether it’s a daily-driven street car or a weekend track weapon, with clear progression at every stage.

Despite the conditions and tyre wear, we matched our previous personal best with a 2:13.60- a solid benchmark that confirms the car’s consistency. With fresh rubber and another step forward in confidence, a 2:12 is definitely within reach.

A familiar face in the Japanese performance scene, Danny ‘Denzo’ Vahoumis recently trusted us with his super tidy DBA R35 GTR, which received a Cicio C800 Gateway II turbocharger kit, Greddy intercooler kit, transmission maintenance and further supporting upgrades and modifications. This went on to make a solid 800whp tuned by PowerLabs Dyno & Tuning remotely with ECUTEK Racerom. Looking forward to seeing this tested on track at Roll Racing this weekend!

TEIN Mono Racing coilover suspension recently installed to our GZ BRZ demo car, these are the same dampers used in the Japanese Super Taikyu racing series.

We were hovering around 2:15.2 on The Bend International circuit for several track days. After installing this suspension along with new rubber, we managed a new PB of 2:13.6. The new setup yielded an impressive 1.5 second gain around The Bend.

These have some nice features. Firstly: Made in Japan. Mono-tube design, with caster and camber adjustable strut tops, camber lower front strut adjustment, independent spring preload and ride height adjustment, 96 way individual damper adjustment- all controlled from the drivers seat via the EDFC5 control unit. You can manually adjust these via the keypad, or the damping can automatically adjust when cornering, braking or under acceleration. Speed, G-actuated and jerk-reactive adjustments on the fly. Cool stuff.

We fine tuned these on the day and found a significant benefit to having this control from the drivers seat, providing us the confidence to turn in later and push harder under brakes. As the tyre grip has decreased over each event, or when tyres are above or below optimal temp throughout sessions, we have been able to adjust the dampers allowing for optimal grip levels. No longer waiting between sessions to make adjustments, which often encounters variables due to tyre temperature fluctuations, track conditions changing etc. It simply fast-tracks finding the optimal setup for the day.

The suspension package is competitively priced, and despite being significantly track focused, they feel surprisingly compliant for regular road use. We are a proud South Australian TEIN suspension dealer and happy to assist with any questions regarding purchase or installation of these products.

MY17 Nissan GT‑R R35 900hp build completed recently, featuring an AMS Performance Alpha 9 turbo kit including upgraded intercooler and piping, paired with an Emtron plug-in ECU with a custom sensor package and expansion wiring harness.

A unique CAN-based fuel pump control system was integrated, allowing independent speed control of the fuel pumps via a Mectric PDM unit. We also had a custom keypad mount fabricated, designed to suit CBA, DBA and EBA models. These components are now available exclusive to GZ.

Flex fuel tuning was completed by Decs from Mectric MSE, producing a solid 600rwkW on E85 — equivalent to over 900hp at the flywheel.

An 8-button keypad system controls multiple boost maps, rolling anti-lag, traction control settings, exhaust valve control, valet mode, flame mode, and configurable pop & bang functions on deceleration.

We thoroughly enjoyed the build process and are proud to offer these services for our great customers.

The legendary ‘BNR32’ Nissan Skyline GT-R. Referred to us for our long-standing experience with this platform, this one came in for a comprehensive round of upgrades, diagnosis and repairs.

We fitted a set of Ohlins dampers, completed an R33 GT-R Brembo brake conversion with custom made braided brake lines, installed Nismo rear-end bushings, replaced the kingpin bearings, added adjustable suspension arms and deleted the factory HICAS system.

Alongside the upgrades, we also diagnosed and repaired a number of engine performance issues, ABS and 4WD faults, plus various other repairs to bring the car back to the standard it deserves.

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting the teams from and at our workshop once again.

It was a great opportunity to showcase our facility, the ongoing progression with our GZ/HKS demo car along with our first hand on-circuit testing results, technical findings with our customer vehicles, and discuss the new HKS product lineup.
