Today at BYD Auto Technicians, we serviced a 2001 Hyundai Accent brought in by a customer reporting issues with their brakes. The customer expressed concerns that the brakes weren't feeling right and that the brake fluid level was dropping even after being refilled.

Upon inspection, we thoroughly checked the entire brake system and discovered a significant brake fluid leak originating from the rear brake cylinders. This leak had been ongoing for quite some time, leading to contamination of the brake shoes.

After discussing the findings with the customer, we proceeded to take the following steps:

1. We cleaned all affected parts and the brake drums to remove any residue from the leak.
2. We replaced the faulty rear brake cylinders and installed new brake shoes to ensure
3. we bled the brake system to remove any air and ensure proper fluid flow.

Today, we conducted a detailed inspection on a new vehicle ( Renault Trafic ) that one of our fleet clients introduced into their operations. As part of our routine protocol, we meticulously evaluated the vehicle to ensure it met safety and performance standards before it was entrusted to their team.

During our thorough examination, we discovered several critical issues: the drive belt, drive belt tensioner, and idler pulley were all found to be damaged. Recognizing the necessity of these components for the vehicle's functionality, we swiftly sourced replacements and performed the installation.

In addition to these findings, we also identified a significant leak in the turbo intercooler. Given the vital role of the intercooler in maintaining engine efficiency, we prioritized its replacement as well to avert any potential complications down the line.

The entire repair process went smoothly without any hitches, and our customer expressed great satisfaction with our prompt and effective service. They were particularly pleased with our thorough approach, which ensured that their new vehicle was not only ready for immediate use but also operating at peak performance.

Recently, we had the opportunity to assist a customer who brought in his 2013 Hyundai Accent experiencing some concerning issues. Upon arrival, he reported a bad noise coming from under the bonnet, alongside problems with the air conditioning that was not blowing cold air.

Diagnosis and Findings

Engine Noise: We promptly diagnosed the noise and identified that it was emanating from the water pump.

AC Issues:In addition to the engine concerns, we investigated the air conditioning system. Our diagnosis revealed that the faulty AC compressor and TX valve were the root causes of the lack of cool air.

Repair Process

Despite it being a long weekend, our team was dedicated to providing swift service. We quickly sourced all necessary parts from our reliable suppliers to ensure minimal downtime for the customer.

1. Water Pump Replacement:
- While replacing the water pump, we encountered a challenge: the top water pump bolt had broken.
- We carefully removed the broken bolt and repaired the thread before successfully installing the new water pump.

2. AC System Maintenance: As part of our thorough AC diagnosis, we checked the AC filter and discovered it was completely blocked.
We replaced the filter and proceeded to re-gas the AC system.

Results

After completing the repairs:
The engine noise was eliminated with the new water pump installed.
The AC system was restored to full functionality, delivering cold air as expected.

We recently had the opportunity to assist a valued customer with their 2000 Toyota Seca. The customer visited our workshop seeking a timing belt replacement, and as always, our skilled team was ready to deliver exceptional service.

Services We Performed
1.Timing Belt Replacement: We provided all the essential components and meticulously replaced the timing belt to ensure optimal performance.

2.Comprehensive Maintenance
*Crank and Cam Seals: We replaced these vital seals to prevent any oil leaks and maintain engine integrity.
*Adjuster Pulley: The adjuster pulley was also swapped out, ensuring proper tension on the timing belt.
*Water Pump: We installed a new water pump to ensure efficient cooling and prevent overheating.
*Rocker Cover Gaskets: Fresh rocker cover gaskets were added to seal the engine properly.

Additionally, the customer mentioned that the left-hand side exterior door handle was broken. We quickly sourced a quality second-hand door handle and replaced it for their convenience.

We recently had a Mitsubishi Verada come into our workshop with a couple of pressing issues: the heaters weren’t working, and the customer suspected a coolant leak.

🔍 **Diagnosis:**
After a thorough inspection, our skilled technicians identified a bad heater core as the root cause of both problems. This needed immediate attention to restore comfort and functionality to the vehicle.

🛠️ **Our Repair Process:**
1. **Parts Supply & Preparation**: We sourced all necessary parts, including a new heater core and plastic connectors.
2. **Dash Removal**: To access the heater core, we carefully removed the entire dashboard and evaporator box.
3. **AC System Recovery**: We safely recovered the gas from the AC system to ensure no refrigerant was wasted.
4. **Heater Core Replacement**: The old heater core was removed and replaced with the new one, along with the new plastic connectors.
5. **Reassembly**: We meticulously re-fitted all components that were removed during the process.
6. **AC System Re-gassing**: After reassembly, we re-gassed the AC system to ensure it was functioning perfectly.

✨ Outcome:
We’re thrilled to report that the heaters are now working flawlessly, and there are no more coolant leaks! Additionally, we performed a general service to ensure the vehicle is running at its best.
