CIRCA 1972 HONDA XL250 MOTOSPORT

This is a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of motorcycle history.

This bike helped redefine the trail bike market. It was Honda's first truly dedicated road trail / dual purpose bike. It was also the first mass-produced dual-sport bike to feature a four-stroke four-valve overhead-cam engine.

Compared to many scramblers this XL250 had proper long travel suspension, high mounted exhaust, 21 inch front wheel, 5 speed gearbox suitable for both highway and trail riding and of course all that Honda reliability!

Bike hasn't been started since I've owned it but has good compression. Just being sold as a project bike.

Obviously the bike has some rust and a I'd assume the bike has been sitting for some time. A genuine and original project bike that even has the spare key and original Smith's dealer tag (Holden and Honda dealer).
