A big shout out to the members of the C&SC team for the excellent & in depth content. Something for everyone.....I found the short column on page 95 very interesting about Frank Dernie, the Williams aerodynamicist/designer/engineer and his contribution to Honda‘s F1 rapid rise. “ The original engine was crude; Honda sacked all its engineers involved! We had to do the turbo installation, cooling, exhausts, the lot” he recalls….

Recently purchased EVO VIII safely delivered & now in storage just in time for Golden Week. Always great to get our special vehicles undercover & not exposed to the elements for weeks sometimes many months prior to shipping. Batteries are a common issue & the Evolution arrived with a flat battery. A big shout out to James at Power House R who was there to receive the car and had a brand new BOSCH B19L ordered & on its way in no time for a whopping 5,680 yen. That's only AUD$50 or USD$36. Subaru WRX STi S204 ( #75/600) for sale
Imported into Australia in 2023 (107,851kms) this genuine auction grade 4(B) WRX STi S203 has full service history, factory books, spare factory key & full import documentation.
Registered until January 2027 this Crystal Grey non accident example is no. 75/600.
All STi suspension parts & S204 factory parts are in place including the 18 inch STi BBS wheels with new tyres recently fitted. The only exception is the Invidia Centre Muffler but stock centre muffler will be included in the sale.
Recent preventative maintenance & servicing was carried out at Benchmark Solutions (12 Jan 2026) which included fitting a new radiator, new hoses, new thermostat & new shifter bush assembly. Anything that needed doing was done. TIMING BELT was replaced 23 May 2017 at 98,972 kms. Current mileage is 108,771kms.
This largely original & well maintained S204 is in very good condition & has an extremely clean interior including the Carbon Fibre Recaro Seats. The paint condition is in good condition & presents well for age with no sun or heat damage. All rubber, plastic and window/glass surrounds are also in good condition.
The WRX STi S204 is possibly one of the best limited production cars Subaru has ever built. It is a factory-tuned, track-ready high performance sedan that still manages to be completely liveable day-to-day.

MHSV inspected this very cool and super rare Volvo V70R in the hero colour of Flash Green Pearl (457). Look carefully because you may never see one is this color again. Correctly graded at 4.5 this 2003 (Sept) model R AWD Wagon had only traveled 56,804 kms. This wide-body V70 R Estate was very advanced when launched new, featuring the new R High Compression Turbo charged 5-Cylinder 2.5 L engine producing 300 BHP and reaching 0-100km/h in just 5.9 seconds (manual) and delivered 400 Nm of torque making it the most powerful engine to date. 2006 (November) WRX STi Spec C Type RA-R with only 7960 kms that we inspected today. Grading was correct at 4.5A. The car came with full set of books and spare keys as you would hope and condition was remarkable for a 20 year old car.
Our client had a very strong budget, but I suspect seller pushed pricing up to a silly number and the car did not sell. This car will likely re-appear after golden week. Japan will be on vacation all of next week known as Golden Week. MHSV - Specialist in exceptional JDM.

2006 Impreza S204 in grade 4 with 45,822kms we recently inspected for a good repeat client. Auction report said W2 on most panels & sure enough the whole car except 2 doors had been painted. Car was not cheap selling for just under 6M yen. For that sort of money, our client wanted really good original factory paint. MHSV - Specialists in exceptional JDM/Euro.

For those who missed it, this absolutely exceptional low verifiable mileage Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution II is for sale.

Easily one of, if not, the best example of an Evolution II in the country. This low mileage car has no accident history, very good paint, a remarkable interior & a rust free & unmarked underbody/chassis including jack points and both rails.

Near impossible to find in this condition, this low 55140 km Evolution II comes with factory books, excellent & extensive service history, 2 keys & all the original import documentation including auction report (Grade 4) & export certificate.

The interior is stunning, virtually blemish free & original apart from the after market stereo. Seats, dash, door cards even floor matts are all correct and virtually unmarked. The decals are factory applied and are in beautifully preserved condition.

This rare EVO II is truly unique as it has no accident history, is remarkably original & only has one previous Japanese owner. The current (second) owner bought & imported this stunning example from Japan about 3 years ago.

The car is factory standard apart from the suspension upgrade to KYB special order springs and struts & a set of factory correct OZ Racing alloys in gunmetal grey. The white factory OZ Racing alloys & original suspension are available & will be sold with the car.

The car has been extremely well maintained both in Japan & in Australia with over 25 service records in Japan alone. As part of the sale a full & detailed pre-sale inspection & service has just been carried out by GT Auto Garage Brisbane. Full details & copies of all work carried out can be forwarded upon request.
