🎉🎉A HUGE Success!🎉🎉
On Sunday, SDMCC was lucky enough to host a Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser at Reynella, and to say it was a success would be underplaying it!
Nonstop traffic from 9am to 4pm, with the lunch time rush holding nothing back! The BBQ was struggling to keep up... 😵
It ended up being the 2ND HIGHEST fundraiser day EVER at Reynella Bunnings, which is a fantastic result for the club! 🤯
These funds will go towards further track work and hosting the SA State titles at the end of October.

Bunnings Recommended: | We needed:
Bread: - 25 loaves | - 48 loaves
Sausages: - 35kg | - 56 kg
Onions: - 20kg | - 30kg..with only 4 sausages and some bread left by end of day! Craig made multiple runs to the local Drakes, of which we ended up cleaning out all their remaining bread loaves!

Speaking of volunteers, A HUGE thank you to all that gave up part (Or all) of their day to help out, this wouldn't have happened without you!
👉 Craig Howard, Kimberley Maessen, Darren Fry, Nick McMurtrie, Mark Norman, Faye/Zac/Taylor Foster, Jamie Vuyk + Wife and daughter, and Ian Smedman.
A SPECIAL shout out to Craig and Kim for organising almost everything behind the scenes! Food, drinks and equipment for the day, plus setting/packing up. You are both incredible assets to our club, but also the community!
Thanks also to those club members and friends that came down and bought a snag and a drink, it all helps the club!

A big thanks to our suppliers too! Bakers Delight at Southgate for the bread, Drakes in Hackham and Drakes in Woodcroft for our Slape and Sons Sausages, extra bread and onions. It's always worth getting fresh, locally sourced stock. It showed when we had people buying snags on the way in AND on the way out as they were impressed with the quality of the bread and snags being used!

We'll be back on track this Sunday! See you there.

🚨🚨Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser THIS SUNDAY 16th Aug @ Reynella🚨🚨
Our club has been lucky enough to "snag" the opportunity to hold a BBQ Fundraiser at Bunnings Warehouse Reynella (5 mins from the track) THIS SUNDAY!
We'd really appreciate everyone popping in, buying a snag, and supporting the club!
We're also looking for a couple more volunteers to help out during the mid day rush, so if you're free and able, send us a message and we can allocate a time frame!

Hi all,
Unfortunately, the rain has forced our hand again, so we're cancelling tomorrows race day.

We have a BBQ Fundraiser at Bunnings Reynella next Sunday, August 16th, so there won't be any timed practice, but if you can help out there, even for just an hour or 2, we'd really appreciate it. Just let us know your availability, or we can allocate you some times!

Otherwise, we'll catch you in 2 weeks.

The weather was clear and the track was mega today! If you weren't there, you missed out!
Thanks to everyone who came out for a run and helped out, we appreciate all the support!
🤞 For clear skies for next Sunday's club day, but we'll continue to run timed practice days during off weekends as much as possible to make use of the good weather when it presents.

A Heads up to all competitors, our SA 1/8 State Titles date change has been locked in!

The SA state titles being held at Southern Districts Model Car Club have been pushed back one week.

New date is 30th October - 1st November.

Hi all,

Unfortunately, the overnight rain has again rendered the track too soft to run on, so we're cancelling tomorrows round 12 club day. There's also a chance of more rain through till Monday.

Hopefully the weather clears enough next week for a timed practice (Or club day) next weekend. We'll keep you updated.

🚨🚨 1/8 SA STATE TITLES DATE CHANGE PROPOSAL 🚨🚨
Hi all,
We wish to advise all competitors of a proposed date change for our SA state titles.

In light of recent developments, we would like to push it back a week to October 30th - November 1st (The current dates being October 23rd - 25th). This will allow us to get everyone on deck to run a fantastic event.

If anyone interstate has already organised flights/accom/etc, please let us know, as we still want to accomodate everyone as best as possible.

Day 2 done here at the Asian Buggy Championships 🔥🔥🔥

Sparko Racing cars have been amazing so far, learning a lot and continuing to unlock more speed and comfortability!

Seeding went well taking top seed in both Electric Buggy rounds and the top seed in E truck, Nitro ended up 6th.

Q1 didn’t go to plan in EP with a very different feel from the car than I’ve felt all weekend, but returned to form after a change for Q2 finished P2 in a great race to the last lap with Alex!

Etruck I the TQ in round 2 which was super nice, Nitro we only managed one qualifier before the rain and i finished 5th after a consistent run but some pace to find.
