Over the christmas break i did do some work on but it came to a hault..
With the turbo adapters arriving today.. i stayed back for an hour tonight as i was able to bolt the GTX 3584r .86 turbos in place and make sure all sits sweet..

Insides of the tank extra baffles, pump ring welded in, top on and the brace for the tank being hand made in aluminium for that industrial look. Just wanted to try something different and unique.

What a week, with this 40plus degree weather it's been an on and off hour week... so after ripping the old top off the tank and adding some more extras inside before the new top goes back on, I've come up with a new way to mounting the tank in place, to give the boot a bit of a mechanical look. the black dots will be reverse pressed round holes. tank probably the colour of the car and the hold down in a satin finish of the car colour or a silver... love the old 😝

Also mapping out the turbo to cooler pipes, waste gate and screamer pipe and radiator in and outlets and thermos fan mounting... not finished, so no pics... sorry... hopefully next week's weather will be kind...

Even better outside...Very happy, the stance for me is spot on now. Once in the car and fuel in it... sweet.👌🏽 ...

Thats the 💩... Cut the outer tub to quarter out and chucked the 2inch blocks in... So much better.. 😍

Thats it on the LX torana for now, bonnet epoxied.. its officially off the roster system until the exhaust, wiring.... then its off to the boys at Southern Classics and Customs to do their magic with bodywork and paint... then it comes back for final fit up...
