Check out this clueless South African clown, during a big race meeting at War rather than marshal he decided to go through the “Parc ferme” box and pick up all the competitors cars and examine their tyres, motors, gear ratios and then checked out the ride height which is a major handling performance gain on a magnet track. I took this photo and sent it to the owner/scrutineer asking to put a stop to it. When I confronted him saying how wrong it was what he did and if he doesn’t understand that should find another hobby was offended.

So the 2025 nsr championships held in Adelaide at the home of magnet slot car racing apparently had at least 3 competitors run magnets in their cars that weren’t picked up in scrutineering. One competitor didn’t know he ran a magnet till two weeks after the event and tried to return his trophy and own his mistake. He was told don’t worry about it as I guess the embarrassment to the venue if this information got out and outrage from rule abiding competitors towards the event is something worth trying to hide, guess that’s why it’s not back for 2026, the pathetic 21 entries probably didn’t help either
