The Land Rover Series III, introduced in 1971, was the final evolution of the original Land Rover Series models.
Produced until 1985, it featured improved comfort and a synchromesh gearbox while retaining the rugged simplicity and off-road capability that made Land Rover famous.
Approximately 440,000 were built before production ended, when it was succeeded by the Land Rover 90 and 110 models, which later evolved into the Defender.
