Although ceramic coating is one of the best ways to protect your car, there are a number of disadvantages:

1️⃣ Complex and lengthy preparation stage, which involves thorough cleaning, degreasing and polishing of the body. Also in the place where the coating will be applied, the temperature (at least 22 degrees Celsius) and humidity must be kept constant

2️⃣ The final composition hardens only after 12 hours

3️⃣ It is impossible to remove ceramics in individual places. The entire vehicle will have to be polished again

4️⃣ Formation of traces of dried moisture. This is due to the fact that the surface of the car is already dirty liquid containing various impurities and salts. After evaporation, barely visible traces may remain on the coating

For a longer service life, special detergents should be used and a three-phase cleaning procedure should be ordered from a detailing center. However, not every car wash is suitable for vehicles with ceramic surfaces

Ceramic coating is not able to protect the car body from damage such as impact with large and heavy objects, as well as chipping that occurs after hitting hard objects at high speed.

However, ceramics can easily cope with scuffs caused by a small accident, poor quality washing and small scratches. A slight matte appearance may remain as the top layer of ceramic is rubbed off, but this can be solved by polishing.

PPF is glued using the so-called "wet" method, i.e. using a soapy solution to install the film.

First of all, to apply the film, the car must be thoroughly cleaned of all contaminants, remove even the smallest remnants of bitumen, putty or other traces.

Next, it is necessary to moisten the paintwork and the film with a soap solution, having previously removed the protective backing from the film. After that you should install the film on the surface, carefully straightening the creases.

After the film has been installed, dampen it with soapy water and smooth out using a squeegee from the center to the edges to eliminate trapped water. Apply pressure to remove any air bubbles and excess soap solution. Optionally, use a hair dryer to soften and shape the film as needed.

Next, cut off the excess film with a stationery knife and carefully wipe the film with a microfiber.
